Tané McClure!

Here are some facts about the blonde 80s jewel who can work a coochie-cutting high-cut polyester lettuce bikini bottom with the best of them.

– Tané’s father is Doug McClure who starred in a western TV show from the olden times called The Virginian.

– Tané married Jonathan Cain, the drummer from Journey, in the late 70s and they got divorced sometime in the 80s.

– Tané’s pop music career started in 1982 when she released her first and only album (as Tane Cain). Her album didn’t reach the heights that her bikini bottom is reaching in that picture above, so she was dropped by her label and never released another album again.

– Tané is also an actress and yeah, she’s played Elle’s mom in both Legally Blonde movies, but she also has an IMDB page that rivals the page of softcore queen Shannon Tweed. Tané has starred in Assault of the Party Nerds 2: The Heavy Petting Detective and Midnight Tease II.

– Tané has a Tony! Toni! Toné! cover group called Tané! Tané! Tané! (I made that up, but I’d saw off my finger to make it come true.)

And here’s the mesmerizing, hypnotic and dramatique video for Tané’s single from 1982 “Holdin’ On.” Hold on to Tané’s “Laura Branigan meets Taylor Dayne” glamour:

Note to pop tricks of today: All you need to make an impact in a music video are laser lights, 5 cans of hairspray, a bold lip liner game, a miniature golf course set, a perfectly plucked eyebrow situation and facial expressions that take you on a journey of emotions.
