Open Post: Hosted By The X-ray Of Dave Grohl’s Broken Leg

June 13, 2015 / Posted by:

During a Foo Fighters show in Gothenburg, Sweden on Friday night, Dave Grohl fell off the stage and broke his leg. Normally the second someone breaks their leg, they realize that it’s time to haul ass to the hospital and call it a night. Not Dave Grohl. According to People, when Dave Grohl realized something fucky was going on with his leg after he fell off the stage, he climbed back up, grabbed a mic, announced “I think I just broke my leg“, and asked everyone to hold tight while he took care of that shit.

Dave Grohl then left the stage, got a paramedic to immobilize his busted leg, grabbed a pair of crutches, hobbled back on stage, and finished the show. Every performer who has cancelled a show because of “exhaustion” just hung their head in shame.

After the show, Dave confirmed that yeah, his leg was totally broken, by posting an X-ray of his broken leg to Instagram with the caption “Thank you Gothenburg. That was amazing.

I’m the kind of person whose immediate response after cutting their finger is to start praying that the funeral home will make my face look nice, so I am in awe of that X-ray. That leg is straight-up BROKE. I can’t believe he finished the rest of the show on that broken leg. That X-ray should be framed and hung in the Badass Hall of Fame.
