Iggy Azalea Says People Are Only Hating On Her Because It’s The “Cool” Thing To Do

I’m sure T.I. never realized what kind of future disaster he had on his hands back in 2013 when he stole a haunted backwards-speaking Rappin’ Rockin’ Barbie doll from Mr. Wing, brought it into the studio and let it record a rap album called The New Classic under the name Iggy Azalea. Almost no one wants anything to do with Iggy Azalea anymore: her tour got cancelled, Pittsburgh Pride told her to stay home and the Internet is pretty much done with her ass. Hell, even Iggy doesn’t like what Iggy does sometimes.

Well, according to Iggy Azalea, the only reason people are turning their backs and pulling an “Oh fuck, pretend you don’t see her” is because it’s the cool thing to do. Iggy hopped on Twitter yesterday and called out all the haters while also thanking her remaining fans for not jumping ship.

Maybe it’s all just a misunderstanding. Maybe all these haters have started hating on Iggy because they don’t know it’s her under that new face and they think it’s an imposter? Has she ever thought of that?

I’ve never really been down with what’s cool (“No shit,” says all the girls in the 8th grade after they heard me say “You go, girl!” about 3 years after it had gone to the catchphrase graveyard), so I don’t know if dragging the Lady Speed Stick version of Vanilla Ice is cool or hip or whatever. It’s times like these I wish someone would keep an up-to-date database of what’s “cool” so I don’t embarrass myself in front of the cool kids.
