Open Post: Hosted By A Dog Trying To Eat Some Floating Carrots

If reading those words gave you the kind of high that could only be rivaled by anything that comes out of Shailene Woodley’s mouth, don’t worry – you’re not alone. I was sober until I typed the words “a dog trying to eat some floating carrots“, at which point I felt light-headed and had a wicked craving for Funyuns.

If this talented carrot-snatching dog looks familiar to you, it’s because his name is Maymo and he’s a internet famous dog type, but you may also know him as the dog who pushed his sister and former Hot Slut Penny around in a tiny shopping cart. Well, Maymo is back (did he ever really leave?) with a new trick, and it’s trying to eat the floating carrots his human tied to a spinning ceiling fan. Dear Maymo’s human: look at your life, look at your choices.

Maymo struggles for a solid 60 seconds before he finally gets a carrot in his mouth. The slut in me was like “Pfft, amateur“, but the realist in me was like “I get it. We’ve all been there.” Maymo might be my newest life inspiration, because no matter how degrading the situation, he never stops trying to gobble that spinning floating carrot. It’s a good metaphor for life, really. Never stop trying to gobble the spinning floating carrot. Thanks, Maymo.
