Dr. Phil’s Interview With Nick Gordon Was A Disaster

But you probably already knew that without even watching it.

As expected, Dr. Phil’sintervention” with Bobbi Kristina Brown’s boyfriend Nick Gordon was an erratic, fame whore train wreck that ended with the lukewarm butt plug of smug Dr. Phil patting himself on the back. If Everlast sold punching bags with Dr. Phil’s face on it, they would become the richest company in the world and we’d all have arms as thick as Jon Hamm’s dick.

A big piece of the episode was spent on Dr. Phil talking to Nick Gordon’s mom Michelle Gordon. Michelle says that she couldn’t take care of Nick and so he went to live with Whitney Houston. But Nick has said before that Michelle kicked him out. Michelle has reportedly been estranged from Nick and only talks to him here and there, but I guess when Dr. Phil’s people wave a check at you, you get in contact with your son real quick.

Michelle told Dr. Phil that her son is in a dark, bad place and that he’s tried to kill himself with pills several times. Michelle also told Dr. Phil that Whitney Houston always wanted to keep Nick and Bobbi Kristina close to her and so they went to rehab with her three times. Michelle claims that Nick didn’t have any addictions back then, but he went to rehab, because Nippy wanted him near her. Michelle kept the craziness coming. She also claimed that Nick called her minutes after Whitney’s body was found and cried because he gave Nippy CPR and couldn’t bring her back. The Houston family denies that happened.

Once Dr. Phil was done talking to Michelle, he went to another room where Nick Gordon was screaming and crying on the floor. Nick admitted to being jacked up on booze and Xanax. He went into the interview room where his mom was, hugged here and then the messiness really started. One of the first things he said after hugging his mom was, “Mom, I would never hurt anybody! I love people! I love babies! Everything!”  Clearly, something isn’t right with him, because who loves babies? They just snot and cry all the time.

Dr. Phil claims that Nick wanted to do the interview to clear up all the rumors. So that’s why Dr. Phil went to Atlanta, but he decided to turn it into an intervention after seeing Nick. So, Dr. Phil didn’t really ask Nick any questions and instead told him that he needs to go to rehab for depression and his addictions. In the clip below, Nick talks about suicide before jumping up and leaving the room.

During that uncomfortable ass intervention, Nick went from happy to mean to smug to sad and I didn’t know whether he was acting or having an actual breakdown. Or a little of both. But I did love it when Dr. Phil smirked after Nick pointed at him and said, “Oh my gosh, I made him more famous. Let’s do this.

In the clip below, Nick cries about “losing the most legendary singer ever” and that he’s scared about losing Bobbi Kristina. He also gets pissed when Dr. Phil tells him to “man up.”

Eventually, Nick Gordon agreed to go to rehab. Dr. Phil promised that if Bobbi Kristina wakes up from the coma, he will send a helicopter to take Nick to her. But before Nick left, he screamed, “I hate Bobby Brown,” because Bobby Brown hasn’t allowed him to see Bobbi Kristina in the hospital.

Jezebel has two longer clips of the intervention if you want to see that. It was just a mess. I blame Oprah for this for giving us Dr. Phil. And when is somebody going to stage a fame whore intervention for Dr. Phil?
