Bryan Singer Accused Of Sexual Assault. Again.

Either someone has it out for director Bryan Singer or dude immediately needs to be ensconced in something with bars. Buzzfeed reports that Detective Olivia Benson and those two tricks that could never hope to replace Elliot Stabler are currently investigating the X-Men: Days of Future Past director on an sexual assault claim. The alleged victim is described as a 20-something NYC man, and the incident reportedly took place in March of last year.  Not a minor this time? Upgrade for Bryan!

Acting on a tip, Buzzfeed dropped by the NYPD with a basket of muffins and a Diamond Candle, and just happened to innocently ask if Singer was being investigated by them. That’s so weird, now that you mention it, yes!

NYPD Deputy Chief and spokescop Kim Royster had this to say:

“We have a formal compliant [sic] on file for criminal sexual act. The complaint was filed on May 9th of this year, however the incident occurred on March 23, 2013. The case is open and being investigated by our Special Victims Squad.”

Singer’s Twitter feed seems to confirm that he was in the NY/NJ area when the assault was said to have occurred. He was getting ice cream. DON’T DRAG ICE CREAM INTO THIS TAWDRY TALE, YOU BASTARDS.

In a timely twist/coincidence/wow, this case is sketchy, it was announced yesterday  that the civil suit against Singer by actor Michael Egan was dropped. Egan’s initial lawyer pulled out of the case and Egan told the court he can’t find another attorney to represent him. Egan has accused Singer of drugging and sexually assaulting him during trips to Hawaii when he was 17.

The second civil suit brought against Singer by ANOTHER actor also accusing Singer of drugging and abusing him when he was a minor was dropped back in July.

Bryan’s legals did something truly unusual and denied everything:

Neither my client nor any of his representatives have been contacted by the NYPD, or anyone else about an alleged criminal investigation of my client. My client did not engage in any criminal or inappropriate behavior with anyone in New York or elsewhere. False investigations are filed all the time and no action is taken by the authorities.

Who know what’s going on. I just feel dirty and not the good kind. All I know is that Brett Ratner better not be asked back to direct an X-Men film and Bryan Singer might want to wear a GoPro whenever he’s within 5 ft. of a twink.
