Open Post: Hosted By The Elusive Chanteuse’s Impeccable Lip-Synching Skills

On Today this morning, the butterfly unicornie princess kept coming for Brit Brit’s lip-synching throne by pretending to hit those garage door-opening high notes while furiously moving her Wuzzle lips.

During Today’s Summer Concert Series this morning, Mimi performed some new songs and some classics and gave a total of zero fucks while doing so. In the video above that was shot by an audience member, Mimi’s yodeling out “Always Be My Baby” when the words fail to come to her (at the 1:55 mark) and she sings, “I don’t know the words to my own song and I don’t caaaaare.” Then at around the 2:37 mark, Mimi pretends to scream out those high notes. The Elusive Chanteuse was not even trying to find those elusive high notes. NBC magically added the notes for the broadcast. She looks like a really upset kid who is so damn mad that when she opens her mouth to scream, nothing comes out. It’s one of those ultra-dramatic silent screams. I love it. Mimi was lip-synching for her lunch! I was going to say she was lip-synching for her life, but if she was doing that, she’s fucked.

Or maybe Mimi wasn’t fake singing at all. Maybe her high notes are just too damn high for humans to hear. We’ll know the truth if it’s reported that thousands of dogs in the Tri-state Area were rushed to their vets after they tried to claw their ear drums out.
