Hot Slut Of The Day!

Robin S!

The 90s truly was the decade of Robins who wanted you to show them love. Before Swedish Robyn commanded you to show her love in 1997, a different Robin commanded you to show HER love 4 years before. In 1993, Robin S. yodeled out her hit single “Show Me Love” and for the longest time I really thought she was CeCe Peniston. But then I watched the video, figured out she wasn’t CeCe Peniston and was hypnotized by her serenading a bunch of 90s club kids in a warehouse while dressed up like an office manager at the company holiday party. Robin S. was the epitome of the 90s, because the 90s was all about singing in a warehouse while wearing a blazer from Charlotte Russe.

Robin S. had a few other semi-hits after “Show Me Love,” but “Show Me Love” is her signature. I went to one of my mom’s company parties in the mid-90s and when the DJ played “Show Me Love” one of her middle-aged co-workers ran to the middle of the empty dance floor by herself and lip-synched the whole thing while awkwardly dancing. I don’t think she was drunk. “Show Me Love” just made you want to run into the middle of a dance floor and feel things. Heartbreaks and promises!

Robin S. still performs in Europe and at 90s music festivals in the US and I hope that when she performs, she wears that hot blazer and ruffled shirt, because that truly is the look.
