Jennifer Lawrence’s Career Advice To Shailene Woodley: Don’t Do Drugs Or Make A Sex Tape

Before Shailene Woodley agreed to play the lead role in Divergent, a film about a dystopian future where poor people are depressed and try to overthrow the government using future weapons (I’m guessing, and I’m probably right) she wanted to make sure she was making a good career decision, so she went to the person who knows first hand what it’s like to star in a movie about sad people in the future who are always worried and shooting at stuff. According to E! Online, Shailene knew that if anyone could give her good advice, it would be America’s Rillest Girlfriend, Jennifer Lawrence:

“I sent her an email—I had never met her—and I was like, ‘Hey, Jen! I know you don’t know who I am, but I have this opportunity and I was wondering how Hunger Games affected your life, if you were happy with your decision, etc. She was like, ‘Listen, there are a few things that you should not do, like drugs and make a sex tape, or go to Whole Foods the day the movie opens, but it’s gonna change your life in so many positive ways. Definitely do it.'”

I thought chapter 3 of the Hollywood Handbook was Filming Your Coke-Fuled Hook-Ups: Your Ticket To Stardom. How are you supposed to create buzz for your movie without getting high and ‘accidentally’ nip slipping in the frozen shrimp section of Whole Foods? Maybe J-Law is the regular real gal she’s made out to be, because she doesn’t know the first thing about what it really takes to make it in Hollywood.

And I know Jennifer meant well with her response, but she did a huge disservice to Shailene by not addressing the biggest mistake she’s currently making: wearing those disgrossing toe-groping sport shoes.
