Peter O’Toole Has Died At The Age Of 81

Peter O’Toole is now up in heaven, stealing million dollar statues with Audrey Hepburn. Peter O’Toole’s agent confirmed to the media that he died in his sleep last night at a hospital in London. Peter had the sicks for a little while before his death. Peter’s friends and family were with him when he jumped on a camel and galloped up to the afterworld. He was 81.

Peter barely retired last year after being in the acting game for over 50 years. Peter started out in THEA-TER and his big huge break came when he was cast in Lawrence of Arabia (Side note: I hate HATE Samantha Jones for making me think of “Lawrence of My Labia” every time I think of Lawrence of Arabia) after Marlon Brando dropped out. After Lawrence of Arabia, Peter kept going and going and starred in The Lion in the Winter, Goodbye Mr. Chips, My Favorite Year, SUPERGIRL (his greatest achievement, of course), Troy and my favorite of all, Caligula. Later in his career, Peter was in Showtime’s The Tudors. Peter was nominated for an Oscar 8 times, but never won. He got an honorary Oscar in 2003.

Peter’s daughter Kate O’Toole released this statement:

“His family are very appreciative and completely overwhelmed by the outpouring of real love and affection being expressed towards him, and to us, during this unhappy time. Thank you all, from the bottom of our hearts. In due course there will be a memorial filled with song and good cheer, as he would have wished. We will be happy to speak to you all then but in the meantime if you could give Peter O’Toole the respect he deserves and allow us to grieve privately we’d appreciate it. Thank you all again for your beautiful tributes – keep them coming.”

And we should also pay tribute to Peter’s beauty, because back then, nobody worked self-tanner and guyliner better than him. And do you know how many bottles of Sun-In I went through to try to get my hair that color?

Rest in peace, Peter O’ Toole.
