Toto Coelo, the British New Wave girl group who in 1982, had a #8 hit in the UK with “I Eat Cannibals” and in 2013 was played every damn second on iTunes Radio’s Halloween Party station. (Yes, I just admitted before everyone to listening to iTunes Radio’s Halloween Party station.)

Behold, the original Spice Girls. Toto Coelo’s (Fun fact via Wiki: They called themselves Total Coelo in the US, because they didn’t want to be confused with TOTO. Ha.) only real hit was “I Eat Cannibals” and they tried to keep their mild success going, but their other single “Dracula’s Tango” was a flop and their album didn’t really do to well. I guess the universe decided that humanity could only handle so much of Toto Coelo’s colored trash bags and AquaNet glamour.

I pity the children of today. They get Lady CaCa, Katy Perry and Miley, and the children of the 80s got this trash heap Flinstones EXTRAVAGANZA!
