The graceful swans-in-love from the Gloria Vanderbilt perfume commercial!
46 years ago, a star carrying a silver-topped, giggling angel fell from the sky and landed in the middle of the forest where a family of silver foxes raised him for most of his childhood until they eventually dropped him off at Gloria Vanderbilt’s front door. Let’s honor that important day in international history by paying homage to the swans in his mother’s perfume commercial.
When I was a kid, I thought this commercial was so fancy, so elegant and so graceful. It was a fitting commercial for perfume that was kept in a locked glass case next to the tampons at Thrifty’s drugstore. (Note: You know a perfume is extra fancy when it’s kept in a locked glass case at a drugstore). The swans in the commercial were extra graceful and extra classy. Shit, if one of them had a silver mop on its head, I’d say that they were really Anderson Cooper’s biological parents.
