Eric Ducharme, the merman of Florida!

Finally, those purveyors of fuckery at TLC will learn us something (“But when we they learn you good grammar?” – you) on tonight’s season premiere of My Crazy Obsession. They teach us that being obsessed with and crazy for all things mermaid (or merMAN as Zoolander would say) looks sort of fun.

22-year-old Eric Ducharme has been obsessed with mermaids ever since he was a little kid and he says he eats, sleeps and breathes mermaids (cannibal mermaid?). When Eric the Merman got older, he made his own mertail out of garbage bags and eventually he upgraded it to fabric and now he swims in it for hours a day, three times a week in one of Florida’s natural springs. Eric’s mom has always known that he was a merman and his boyfriend says that he came out as a merman on their first date. They both support him for living his life like he’s Daryl Hannah in Splash. Eric’s boyfriend said:

“When I first met Eric, I was introduced to the subject of mermaids, on our first date. Your jaw just kind of drops and you’re just like, ‘wow.’ When we go swimming I don’t even see him because he swims off to his own little corner, it’s all about getting away from the rest of the world.”

Eric the Merman also wants to turn the entire world into mermaids and he started his mertailor business to do so. Eric makes costume mertails for anyone who wants one. And when he’s not turning average hos into the damn Little Mermaid, the real-life Gayfish fills the water with glitter when he twirls around in photo shoots and water shows. Here’s Eric the Merman in motion and I’ll be really disappointed if he doesn’t hum the melody to Part of Your World while he twirls around.

Buzzfeed has the trailer for Eric’s episode, but the trailer doesn’t answer the only question I had: But how do mermaids fuck? That mertail definitely needs a dick hole.
