So the way tooth gems work, they are cut wide and with a flat back ( not like traditional brilliant diamond cuts with a pointed end) and affixed to the teeth using a light cured sealant. It's not permanent and the sealant lasts around 2-4years. There should be no sharp edges to cut the mouth- the cut is similar to a cabochon, with a smooth top.
