One year she came on his show and you could tell he didn't know what to expect. He noticed she had a tongue bar in her mouth and asked her why she would do that. She just tossed it off, told him "Oh Dave, you know I'm a good time girl."
Took him a couple a seconds to get her meaning, when he did he all he could do was stutter. Classic!

HB Marni Nixon. I still think she should be acknowledged by the Oscars since she did the singing for Audrey Hepburn in "My Fair Lady", for Deborah Kerr in "The King and I" and for Natalie Wood in "West SIde Story" and they all won Best Picture. As well as the being the one dubbing the majority of "Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend" for Marilyn Monroe. You know she's good if she can not only sing but actually change her voice to sing as those different people well prior to computer manipulation.
