I don't know - I guess I hadn't thought about it, but it's entirely plausible because Thomas is always, always, always scheming (usually with that nasty old O'Brien). All I saw was Jimmy all fucked up at the fair and stumbling down the hill where he just about got his ass beat before Thomas intervened and took the beatdown. Maybe he was trying to 'wipe the slate clean' with Jimmy.

They sell absinthe in the USA now. It just can't contain thujone so it's made with something else and so it's a broke down version of the European absinthe.

I am diabetic and I had all of those symptoms--especially fatigue. the other odd one was itchy skin. Hopefully, you're not, but the good thing is that diabetes can be controlled with diet and exercise.My mother and brother are also diabetics and on meds; my brother is on insulin. I have been lucky so far. You want to keep your A1C at 6 or better, and keep your blood sugar no higher than 120 and no lower than 70. It's really about watching your intake of carbs. and exercise is THE BEST thing for diabetes. Good luck to you!

I just made a reference to "Chick-Fil-A" to my sister Nancy Varkalis down in Mexico and she said they only have "Chola-Fil-A". I believed her! She was just kidding but this could happen. We can run a grill and sell "Sanford Sharpie" markers for Chola's eyebrow's and lip liner to Chola's in a truck.

You sure it's still illegal? I have some currently (it came from France), though it's been sitting in my cabinet for years. The allure doesn't come close to living up the experience of drinking it. It's really kinda meh.

It was illegal in America but I have a Czech friend who lives here and there, and he smuggles bottles. It tastes like candy, not alcoholic whatsoever but contains about 70% alcohol. One shot or two and you're okay.

Try it, it's worth the cost and will save you $, if you like the drink or need to step out from reality for a day.

A lot of people do like accents, but I can understand your desire to speak unaccented English if it's not your native tongue.

I don't have diabetes but my husband has had it since he was a teenager, and those are the exact symptoms he described. Excessive thirst and urination, fatigue, blurry vision (which went back to normal after he got regulated with insulin). He said he also lost a bit of weight.

Try not to worry too much. You'll have a better idea tomorrow. Are you taking any steroid-type medication, because that can also raise your blood sugar?

I love having the day off but man is daytime TV TERRIBLE. One of the answers to a family feud question was "Her coochie". *facepalm*

Good, I'm glad that someone brought this up because I too am embarrassed about the amount of knowledge I have about His Lordship and Her Ladyship (lol).

Only lady's maids' and valets went to Scotland.

I'm so very disappointed about Matthew. I think His Lordship (lol) will have a really, really tough time dealing with his death because Sybil is dead and his other two daughters are entitled little ho-bags.

Those symptoms could be diabetus but they could also be a slew of other things.

Best way to tell is to pee in a cup. Does it smell like pixie stix? Might be diabetus. If you throw it outside and insects swarm it, that's an even better sign as that's how they used to diagnois it back in the day.

Also, if your neck and underarms turn really dark....if it just looks like theres layers of dirt on your neck eventhough there isn't, that's another sure sign of diabetus....

I had the same symptoms...it wasnt diabetes. My blood sugar is normal. I'm getting older amd cranky.

I had all of those, plus I lost some weight without trying and a couple of my toes were a little numb. That went away after I changed my diet and started on some meds.

I'm sure this is racist but for the life of me I can't figure out what ethnicity she is insulting.

Does anyone of you fellow DListers have diabetes and don't mind saying so. I'm asking because lately I feel like I might be experiencing the symptoms; frequent urination, excessive thirst and hunger and weird vision(but that could just be because I'm due for an eye exam and new contacts) and fatigue. Diabetes does run in my family. My grandmother had one of her legs amputated due to complications with. I'm not one to get sick hardly ever and I've been on WEBMD all day trying not freak out. I'm making a Dr.'s appt tomorrow but would like to know how others who have the disease found out and if they had the same symptoms.
