Oscar Pistorius Allegedly Tried To Revive Reeva Steenkamp After Shooting Her
It was reported earlier that when the security guards from Oscar Pistorius' gated complex showed up to his house after he shot his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, they found him kneeling next to her body in the bathroom. But the South African newspaper Beeld (via NYDN and the Telegraph) says that during Oscar's hearing yesterday, prosecutors said that when the security guards showed up to his house, he was running down the stairs with Reeva in his arms and he was trying to do CPR on her. Yeah, I think my brain just twisted all the way around while trying to picture Oscar running down the stairs while holding Reeva and trying to give her mouth-to-mouth at the same time.
The police aren't saying shit about this, because they're currently in the middle of an investigation. But a source close to the investigation is opening their mouth to Beeld. They said that the police believe Reeva was sitting on the toilet when Oscar shot bullets through the bathroom door. Neighbors called the police two hours before the shooting after they heard people arguing in Oscar's house. The police are also talking to Oscar's ex-girlfriend who made "vague" abuse allegations against him to a local newspaper.
And TMZ says Reeva was a domestic abuse advocate and the day she was murdered, she was supposed to talk to students at a local high school about how she got away from an abusive ex-boyfriend.

I did not believe the intruder theory from the beginning and now I am convinced it is 100% BS. I would be amazed if this house did not have a panic button given it is in a gated community with 24/7 security. The media says that guards came to the home after they heard the shots. You mean to tell me that he got up, strapped on his limbs, got a gun, thought an intruder was in his bathroom, and did not think to call the police and/or security? Even if he did think there was an intruder, wouldn't he have shouted he had a gun and had called for help? If an intruder was in the closed bathroom, Pistorius would have had the upper hand. Hell, he could have barricaded the door & held them captive until the guards came. Surely, that would have been enough time for Reeva to call out that it was her. Oh, and then there is the bit about the neighbors hearing arguing hours before the shooting.
Frankly, if she had previously been in abusive relationship, there is a good chance she may have fallen for the same guy. I am not blaming her. I was in an abusive relationship myself and my guy came across as charming and kind at first. Many abusers do. They were only dating a few months.
Based on his interviews, etc., Pistorius comes across as someone who is used to getting his own way. It could be that they were arguing, she fled to the bathroom because she did not wish to be around him and sat on the toilet as that is usually the only place to sit in a bathroom. He may have lost his cool wondering how dare she walk away from him and decided to shoot the door down.
An aside, my abusive ex once grabbed my arm when I tried to walk away from him when we were arguing. He demanded that I stay there and hear him out. Very common behavior from abusers.
Also, I wonder if this guy had been drinking.
The story is that he was running down the stairs carrying her? But his story is that he mistook her for a burglar? How did she get on an upper floor? Doesn't that sort of poke a hole in his story right there?

I don't think things should always be so black and white. Should they stand behind him if all evidence in the trial ends up pointing to him being a murderer? No, not in regards to still rooting for him to be given a non-guilty verdict. But can he still be an inspiration for athletes with handicaps? I think it's possible. If you have ever done anything wrong in your life you're not suddenly an evil person of no worth, there's probably something in you that people can still admire. Examples of screw ups that people still admire because they have other talents: Ray Lewis, Bill Clinton, JFK, Robert Downey Jr., etc.

There's a lot of crazy stories out there. I read that HE was in the bathroom and she was outside and he shot through the door.
Think about it though: as a woman, if you're alone with someone who's getting violent and you can't get out of the house, it's likely you run to where you can lock yourself in - which in most houses is the bathroom. Not all bedroom doors have locks on them.
Hadn't the police been called to the house recently on a domestic violence complaint?
