Oscar Pistorius Allegedly Tried To Revive Reeva Steenkamp After Shooting Her
It was reported earlier that when the security guards from Oscar Pistorius' gated complex showed up to his house after he shot his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, they found him kneeling next to her body in the bathroom. But the South African newspaper Beeld (via NYDN and the Telegraph) says that during Oscar's hearing yesterday, prosecutors said that when the security guards showed up to his house, he was running down the stairs with Reeva in his arms and he was trying to do CPR on her. Yeah, I think my brain just twisted all the way around while trying to picture Oscar running down the stairs while holding Reeva and trying to give her mouth-to-mouth at the same time.
The police aren't saying shit about this, because they're currently in the middle of an investigation. But a source close to the investigation is opening their mouth to Beeld. They said that the police believe Reeva was sitting on the toilet when Oscar shot bullets through the bathroom door. Neighbors called the police two hours before the shooting after they heard people arguing in Oscar's house. The police are also talking to Oscar's ex-girlfriend who made "vague" abuse allegations against him to a local newspaper.
And TMZ says Reeva was a domestic abuse advocate and the day she was murdered, she was supposed to talk to students at a local high school about how she got away from an abusive ex-boyfriend.
Now if you'll excuse me if I have try to find a way to untwist my brain.

Pistorius's cricket bat was supposedly bloody and her head beat in. If true, there go all his "tragedy" defenses.

Either my english is worse than I thought or I don't know, people never seem to understand what I'm trying to say.
There are few real facts, in fact the only by the SA police confirmed fact is that a woman died because of multiple shotwounds.
People still seem to think that this might have been an accident and if so, I can't understand why he didn't shoot himself as (for me in that situation)that would be the logical consequence.
I read a bit on the web about this case and the papers were full of "a source close to the investigation" blabla we know these "sources" and that's why I follow suit to not use all these "evidences" to trial him, but I really don't know what good explanation there can be for a woman being shot multiple times by accident.
It may turn out that she was indeed shot through the bathroom door, that her head has been smashed in with a cricket bat, that he called his friends afterwards and whatever, but for the only real fact alone there's no excuse. The only excuse would be that someone else did it and I highly doubt that someone else can march into a high security ward, shot a rather unknown person, while he stays alive, so for now I rule that scenario out.

No way, I love Denny's! We were on a working vacation in Monterey, and went to some expensive hotel restaurants. The service was terrible, even with no one in the place the servers couldn't be bothered. They actually delivered a steak to on person in our party at the end of the meal, after the check. (He had ordered with the rest of us and they didn't serve him til the end or say anything.) So we gave up and went to Denny's, they have a great breakfast, now more healthy choices, and very reasonable prices. But the best part was the service, so friendly when we asked for extra stuff, kept refilling the coffee without having to be asked, it was great.

And I understand that.
I edited my last post to say that it is human nature to try to explain why someone would lose control and kill.
Crimes of passion have occurred since the beginning to time. I think it just catches people off guard when the murderer seems to have it all -- revered, wealthy, etc.

Sushi, a lot will come out and some will be true, some false. Emotional abuse is in some ways worse than physical, and neither one is ever, for any reason, okay. However, everything I'm hearing is that Pistorius was verbally abusive - not physical. And I'd like to know something. Who was on which side of the bathroom door when the shooting took place? The answer to that is critical. Also, how do we know she wasn't the one who was being physical here? Maybe she was throwing things at him? Maybe SHE had the gun and he got it away from her? It still doesn't excuse killing her, of course, but I want to hear the facts and not media hyperbole. He'll go to prison no matter what but if it really was a horrible accident then I hope that is proven. I'd like to know, though, how shooting someone FOUR times could be termed accidental in anyone's mind.
********************
I totally understand, but she was shot 4 times and killed. I think it's okay not to give him the benefit of the doubt at this case. I'm not sure how anyone could somehow try to paint the victim as provoking her murder. I'll give the benefit of doubt to the victim rather than him.
That said, I do get what you are trying to say -- lots of info dribbles out and who knows what is really accurate when it is unnamed sources and not the police. However, the last report I read the police spokesman was asked if the "domestic incidence" calls involved violence and she nodded yes.
I think it is human nature to look for a reason as to why someone snaps and does the unthinkable. But sometimes people are just plain evil and there is no explanation.

You guys are proving my point. The media is blowing up this so-called abuse but in reality, he slammed a door and a piece of the frame dropped off and hit a woman. Yeah, he was angry and he did the slam the door but he didn't slam it ON her and he didn't put a finger on her. But now everyone is screaming how he "got away with it" when the charges were dropped yet they were dropped because he didn't actually DO anything. Every time this guy ever raised his voice is now going to be touted in the media as abusive. If he ever did abuse someone, I'd be the first one to call him out as an asshole, but jumping on this stupid bandwagon is only going to muddy the waters and make it harder to sort out the truth.

According to the reports dribbling out, there have been several "domestic disturbance" visits made by the police (including one on the night of her murder) as well as other at least verbally abusive cases.
There's a big difference between one isolated case and several cases that paint him as someone who lacks control and is abusive.
OJ was abusive before the double-homicide. Yet the abuse was swept under the rug because he was a famous athlete. Wouldn't surprise me at all if that was the same case with Pistorious.

what worries me most about this is the corrupt system in SA. See their current president Zuma. The man's been in and out of jail for planning ambushes on another city. He was accused of much more including rape, fraud, corruptoion, rackateering..... and always walked free and is still president.
the woman he raped was HIV positive too, and he didn't use a condom and stated he ''washed himself in the shower right after'' to avoid infection. So on top of his impressive résumé, he may have aids. Personal life, he has 6 wives (bought one for 10 cattle- that takes me into another century on its own) and about 25 kids. About gays he said one better never stand in front of him or he'd punch him out. During another controversy he was involved in, he and his followers cheerfully chanted a song called, ''Bring me my machine gun.'' before going to court. The list goes on.

Nike has always stood by controversial athletes (e.g Tiger Woods, L Armstrong etc.) But this one now is too much. they took down their advertising featuring him as/like they dropped L Armstrong too after he admitted to using drugs. Their image and publicity such athletes generate for them is what matter, until boundaries are crossed.
