ICYMI: SNL Honors The Victims Of The Sandy Hook Shooting
For SNL's cold open last night, the New York City Chirrun's Chorus sang "Silent Night" in memory of the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School Shooting. I know, isn't it weird how an invisible wind storm blew all up into our eyes at the same time last night? This was the best part of SNL last night and it was even better than Samuel L. Jackson dropping some kind of f bomb and blurting out "bullshit." And that's saying a lot.

This is a drive-by: I get out of ICU today. Feels like I have a hole in my brain (which I do), but the cath is out & I'm walking and talking. Pain pills galore and breakfast is soon. Can't wait to put on deodorant!

the choir was so sweet. of course i got teary - still am thinking about it. but what's up with that was hysterical. when i heard samuel i thought i was just hearing things. it was perfect for that skit.

SNL.. New York Children's Choir was just incredible. All the news was and still is numbing... And somehow .. This pushed past the talking heads... They were perfect.
I'd say I'm surprised by this but the truth is I heard it in a song while I was sleeping upside down in my daughter's closet.- Dog
SNL's tribute was perfect. It was beautiful, and got the point across without a lot of self-serving celebrities making it all about them. It's a live show that deals with topical issues, of course they had to respond, and they did it tastefully.
Of course I also loved Paul Mc Cartney & Martin Short.

I am watching SNL to relieve my stress and FORGET about those kids... SNL is the last place I want to be reminded.. And if so, at the end of the show. I watched that tragedy on CNN for 24 hours... I can't take anymore.

It's awesome that SNL took time to remember them like that. I don't think I can bear to watch it though. Just seeing their pictures on Facebook is heartbreaking, and to hear some of the stories are even worse.

For everyone who's asking - the sketch is 'What's Up with That' and the premise is basically the host invites all these famous people to his show but never gets down to business because he keeps breaking into song and dance. It's quite silly but it cracks me up for some reason.

I don't understand the context of this sketch with SLJ, but I love the guy. He's great in everything he does.
I don't have the heart to look at pics of those poor kids. I barely managed to take a quick glance at the list and realized that all of them were born between 2005 and 2006. I feel bad about the adults too.

I know this isn't OP, but ...
Wanted to say hey real quick...won't be able to enjoy MKs snark or the comments from you horz for awhile. Sitting in my hospital bed, been poked & prodded, with sensors attached to my head. I look like a fucked up mash up of Bride of Frankenstein meets Cyclops. It's so hot. Anywho - catch you all on the flip side! Fingers crossed I make it home in time for Christmas :)
