LOL, that was hilarious!! I don't hate SP, or even Billy Corgan, but I do think that at the height of their popularity they were a bit over-rated and very, very over-exposed on the radio. Billy Corgan is quite talented, and takes his job seriously. Maybe a little too seriously. ;)

I saw RHCP when they were touring for Blood Sugar Sex Magik. Their opening band was a super emo, super annoying, completely unknown band called Smashing Pumpkins. People were throwing bottles at Billy Corgan's yet to be bald head cos everyone wanted the main act already.

True story. This was before Siamese Dream came out. They weren't famous at that point.
As for Flea's package, well, the guy's real name is Michael Balzary. :D
I actually prefer the early psychedelic sex funk years of the Chili Peppers. Hillel Slovak set the hard and fast tone for everything in that band and I personally don't think they have done anything special since going mainstream on BSSM. Happy Birthday to Flea though, great guy and even better father.
