Come And Get Your Sister, Richie Cunningham
Erin Moran, seen above with Mrs. C during happier days (slap me for that pun, I deserve it) in 2009, is down and out in Indiana after getting kicked out of the trailer park she was living in. Erin, who played Joanie Cunningham in Happy Days, and her husband Steve Fleischmann are motel hopping, because they don't have any place to live and their money is draining away faster than whatever is left of Scott Baio's sanity.
Erin's road to woe started years ago when she was evicted from her California home. To save money, Erin and Steve moved into his mom's trailer in New Salisbury, Indiana earlier this summer, but that situation didn't last long. Steve and Erin both became trailer park rejects after his mom couldn't take their hard partying and kicked them out. The National Enquirer (via Radar) says that Erin got thousands of dollars in a cash settlement from CBS after the Happy Days cast sued the network over merchandising revenue, but she's drinking that money up so fast that it's only a matter of time before her checking account is completely dry. Erin and Steve were living at a Holiday Inn Express for a little while, but they were kicked out for being drunken messes. Some source put it like this:
“On several occasions the hotel management warned Erin to curb her unruly behavior. But they finally had enough of her temper and demanded that she immediately leave the property."
You know what? We've all been there. We've all drunkenly passed out on the scratchy shag rug of a Holiday Inn Express in Indiana and then got woken up by the management throwing our stuff into the parking lot, because we broke the vending machine in the hallway while getting into a fight with it the night before. We've all been there and we'll all be there again. Besides, it could be worse, she could be married to Scott Baio in real life.

The only reason I pointed it out is that I find it annoying when people aren't genuine. If you have to create multiple personas just to weave your fairy tales about "socialism" and your bff's Barack and Michelle...well, it's a little sad.

the only person I could stomach on Sappy Daze was Jenny Picallo and she was imaginary until they cast a real person to play her in last season.

Couldn't stand this bitch in Happy Days. She was always useless and spent most of her time with a hoola hoop. Happy Days are not here again by the looks of it.
Reading this shit really brings home how fucking amazing Ron Howard is--a child star from the get-go who didn't fuck it all up and went on to incredible success as an actor, producer & director--not to mention husband & father. But I guess he's the rare exception to the rule.
Erin's story gives me the sads.

So weird. I watched a movie last night called Falling Sky w. Brittany Murphy and Karen Allen...Karen Allen's character was a raging alcoholic & they lived in a trailer park. It had an Afterschool Special vibe to it...but reminds me of Erin Moran. It's sad.

Back when I was in elementary school, she was on the front page of some teenybopper magazine I read at that time. In the interview, when they asked her what her goals were, she said to get skinny enough that when she put her knees together, her thighs wouldn't touch. I thought that was really weird. I wonder if she achieved that goal?
Gawd, I loved Happy Days! Richie was my favourite, then the Fonze. Although I did have a crush on Potsie (hey, I was just a kid lol). And I LOVED Ma & Pa Cunningham (wished they were my parents). I never liked Joanie much, not sure why. And she had the worst hair, all fuzzy and dry. But I feel sorry for Erin. Hope she gets the help she needs. Surely Ron (Richie) the gazillionaire could throw her a few bucks?
Hated Happy Days, Three's Company, pretty much all those shows then. Richie was a virgin turd. None of those dudes ever got a piece.
Erin's hair is how mine looked in the 80s. Look how fried her chest is... crazy sun damage. Mrs. Cunningham is smiling but has that "Lord get this kook offa me now?"
Funny how I also saw her on Celebrity Ghost stories with some story about how some gold diggers killed themselves in her house and thats why she got out. It was almost believable!

Oooh, EvilShoe, I loathed "Happy Days", too! I felt sorry for Joanie and Richie because their mother was a doormat (yet somehow a snobby cunt at the same time) to that asshole blowhard Howard. And I thougjt Fonzie was a creepy loser who hung around teenagers because people his own age thought he was stuck reliving his high school glory days, like Uncle Rico.

Lol, I hated Happy Days as well, but I liked Andy Griffith. The intro song always put me in a good mood. I met Jim Nabors (Gomer Pyle) at an airport once. Gay as a hibiscus.
Laverne and Shirley were my girls back then but I saw a few episodes recently and...where's the funny?
In any case, I'm shocked at just how much television I watched as a kid. I dream of Jeanie, Brady Bunch, Lost in Space, Wonder Woman, Mama's Family and about 100 more not including cartoons.
