During Green Day's set at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas last night, the timer in front of the band let them know that they only had 1 minute left, because Usher went 25 minutes over. Billie Joe Armstrong was not having any of it. Bille Joe stopped everything to give the performance of Green Day's career. Billie Joe busted into a hilarious freak out where he yelled at the organizers for disrespecting a dude who has been in the game for over 20 years. I kept waiting for someone to hand BJ a dirty martini and for him to lean against a grand piano and slur out shit like, "Your know what your problem is! You have some nerve! It's the pictures that got small! Mr. DeMille, I'm ready for my -godfuckingdamnit, that guitar is looking at me funny. I'll show you, guitar!"
Billie Joe got so mad that I'm sure the hairs on his b-hole stood up like some of the hairs on his head. Bitch went off and I love every millisecond of this dramatic cunt meltdown from the first "fuck" that comes out of his mouth to the last one. I even loved that it almost took him 10 minutes to destroy his guitar. PUNK! ROCK! If that guitar had eyes, it would be rolling them. It was taking so long for BJ to put a dent in that guitar, so it finally took pity on him and broke itself.
And Billie Joe's eyeliner stayed immaculate during this entire bitch fest. A true DIVA!

Why wouldn't he have done something to Walken then, too? I think RJ and Chris were up to something (what, I'm not sure). Natalie found out about it, got upset, and went overboard. Whatever it was she discovered, they were worried she'd blab, so they let her drown.

I guess I'm thinking that the first "generation" were the only authentic ones. If you were aware of their existence and set out to be one, you're kind of an ersatz hipster.

Walken is an oddball for sure. Yet, he's had a full life and career. There was plenty of opportunity for him to fess up to what happened that night.
As for RJ, he didn't want to go to jail for murder. In his mind, he has probably twisted the nights events as a drunken argument gone wrong. I don't think he has the capacity to fully understand what he did. He may be an old man now but I'd like to see him land in jail for his remaining years left.

The only Green Day albums I liked were Kerplunk and Dookie. In my opinion they went emo douche after that...haven't liked anything since. Billie just annoys me now.

I first saw GD open for my beloved Bad Religion at the Palladium in September of 1992-93 they were pretty awesome and super friendly. I liked them through Insomniac and then again when they went through their "Network" stage. Right before American Idiot came out, I happened to see them at an unnanounced dress rehearsal show for which they charged $7. It was such an amazing show! They played Misfits covers & Jane Weidlin joined them onstage. I had been separated from my now ex for about 10 months when surprise, surprise! Mr. Green Day Drummer Boy was hittin'' on me! I saw them again a month later at Henry Fonda Theatre for the official release of AI. After the show Mr drummer boy was signing autographs when he broke into a made up song about my alleged hotness and about wanting to marry me... I was super flattered, so I flew to New Orleans to see them play Voodoo Fest. It was then that I began to actually be disgusted by Billy Hoe & his ridiculous antics (trash talking the Beastie Boys) as well as his even more ridiculous hair & make up. I can honestly say that this is the only band I actually truly despise. Only because they have the potential vis a vis Talent and Power of being a really great All Ages punk band yet they instead choose to pander to the MTV demographic all the while posturing as being above it and laughing all the way to the bank. (Filthy Lucre Ain't Nothin' New) However, I have much respect for Mike Dirnt, a class act in every way. PS-Nothing ever came from Drummer Boy's attentions, I found myself an Adonis of a man who made me VERY happy for several minutes at a time, a few days a week, for the next two years. Aaand fuck greed day!

I have read that too. I do believe Dennis Davern's account about RJ and Natalie having a very physical fight in their room and then it continued on deck. Once he pushed her overboard he told Dennis to "leave her there". I know he was really drunk, but RJ knew of her gripping fear of "dark water". How could he do that to her? It was November; so cold, she really died in the most horrific way possible; dark, alone, in the ocean. Just unimaginable really.
What is really eerie, so many of her films have scenes of her in the water which scared the hell out of her but shows what a professional actress she was.
