Fiona Apple Got Busted With The Good Shit In Texas
Musicians carrying any form of the good shit on their tour bus need to be like Louise from Thelma & Louise and not drive through Texas, because doing so could completely mess up their high. Fiona Apple obviously didn't learn from Snoop Dogg and Willie Nelson, because last night she was busted in Sierra Blanco, the same TX town where Snoop and Willie were busted in, for having hash on her bus. Fiona's tour bus was stopped during an inspection checkpoint and when the sweet scent of a Bob Marley fart filled the cops' nostrils, they checked the bus and the party was over.
TMZ says that Fiona only had a little bit of hash, but they still put her in handcuffs, dragged her to jail and made her pose in front of the mug shot camera while she made the same face I'd make if someone just snatched my stash. For some reason, Fiona is still sitting in a cell right now.
Never mind that when Fiona was being put into a cuffs, drug dealers driving a van stuffed with 50 kilos of coke probably drove by, what in "Wednesday Addams working at a Footlocker" hell is she wearing? The cops aren't right for ruining Fiona's buzz and they really aren't right for letting homegirl get her picture taken looking like that.

I cannot believe people are still getting arrested for weed (and the comment below mine "Why can't these people stay off drugs?" is laughable).
I can't believe they're still being arrested for it, but that's because there is so much easy access to information these days that I can't believe people are still using drugs. I can't imagine why that is "laughable." As someone who has lost two friends to heroin (go Gen X!) and a relative to meth, it's not even remotely laughable.

I won't get into a debate on legalization of certain drugs. My only point is that I think its dumb to risk getting caught when something like a checkpoint can be avoided. Wait til the next stop, why risk it.

Why is it laughable, Trash? Some ppl don't do drugs or drink, whats the attraction to it when there's a risk associated? Oh dear, have I lost ~internet cool points~ b/c I don't do either? Woe is me! Moving on, checkpoints check all buses, you've got to be really stupid to think you won't get popped. If you're that hard up for some shit, buy it at the next stop, AFTER the checkpoint. They're on the freaking maps, do your homework if you're going to be carrying around illegal drugs.

Tour buses often get busted in Texas. I guess there's an infamous stop near El Paso where they can search your vehicle at will.
