Here's Kat Von D and Canadian DJ Deadmau5 (who your eyes might not recognize since a costume mouse head is usually covering his mug) holding hands while strolling around Beverly Hills yesterday. Kat Von D used to bump tattooed genitals with a dude who had to wear a giant Nazi hat to get off and now she's humping on a dude who I'm guessing has to wear a giant mouse head to get off. That sounds like a great program. I only have 1 dog that might qualify and gee, I was holding her last year and the neighbor kid went to pet her and she kind of went to nip him. I was shocked.
She never shows aggression (well except with her dinner bowl) I would love to do that type of program. They also have them for nursing homes as well. What a neat thing to do.
Not going over, going to get off for the night probably. Seems like the nights have a tendency to get more mean than snarky. Night Evil:)

That's a great idea Pushy. I don't know if you caught my post yesterday, but I am trying to get involved with the Veteran's Home near me with a pet program they are starting, where you bring your dog or cat and spend some time with the Veterans, letting them interact with the animal. You and your pet have to go through some tests, and minor training, before you are accepted (like making sure the pet is even tempered, well behaved, has no history of aggression, and good around small groups of people being pet, tugged on, etc), you also have to have your flu shots and proof of dogs rabies vaccinations and a vet's note stating he has a good knowledge of said dog and thinks he/she is suitable for this type of program. I am pretty sure we will be accepted, because I REALLY want to do this.

Anyhow, You know what I started doing a few months ago? Volunteering for a small non profit
that helps the elderly and other people that
are living at home (either by themselves or with family) It's not much. But it gives me a sense of doing something besides stewing about work
and it going away. It's the same organization that helped my dad get to his many doctor's appointments when I was super busy and could not take him. I felt guilty about that too. So in a way, it's helping me get over that guilt.
Is that too personal?

Foxy, have not had a chance to go through all the comments (I will though) but I saw where you said you can now get your pet's teeth cleaned w/o going under. OMG! I will check this out.
Wieners have notoriously bad teeth and I cannot get them to hold still to clean them, plus, they have weird mouths. Last year it was 500 bucks for the long hair and 400 for the short hair.
It was alot of money.
Also, whatever is going on with your work, I have faith it will work out OK for you. You are one smart broad:)

Oh Foxxy, I am so sorry to hear you are going through a scary time. I PROMISE, you will be included in my prayers (yes, I pray.). I hate that you have these stresses. I know you already know this, but things will get better. It sounds cliche, but it is ultimately true.
Hang in there, and fight through it. You are a good person, from what I have seen on here, and good people always have good things happen in the end. Be strong and solve your problems best as you can, one day at a time! Just know you have mine and every dlisters support.
As for sharing things here, yeah, I'm not going to be doing much of that any longer. I knew better, but in recent months let my guard down, and got bit in the ass for it. In the end, the attacks fell on deaf ears, as I tuned out at a certain point and won't ever allow myself to be baited into that mess again. Live and learn, even on the d.
