Warning: If you didn't prolapse while listening to Teen Mom Farrah's last massacre of a song, then you will definitely fall completely out of your body while listening to her latest single "On My Own." This single comes complete with a zero budget homemade video shot by Farrah. I don't know what's worse: Farrah's daughter dancing to this mess on her dad's grave or the actual "song" which sounds like a bunch of robot cats drowning in a tub of electrocuted water. Oh, like it's really a contest. The song (or whatever you call that stabbing to my ears) is worse. The song is worse. That song actually made me stare out onto that cemetery full of dead people and feel jealousy toward them, because they're in a better place. A better place where they don't have to listen to musical murder like this.

Beatrix Kiddo is such a BAMF that if I've had a particularly bad week, I'll pop in my copies of the vol. 1&2. Probably because I used to watch kung fu movies on Saturdays with one of my best girlfriends in the world growing up. I've seen all the Christian Slater movies you've seen, and I agree there was a time where he did not annoy me, but he weirdly got all Jack Nicholson (whom I LOATHE) and I was checked my spreadsheets and was all 'Done and DONE'. No, I would not say 'True Romance' is worth fast forwarding through. There are much better Gary movies to watch. Interesting side note - I was talking to my sister and we were talking about TDKR and she said 'Oh I love Gary Oldman. I love him. Love. Him.' I was all 'ORLY? Good to know the ChanelConspiracy girls keep it in the family. Also, I will fight you for him.' She was all "What? I don't even know...I totally...Ok, you got me. I find him weirdly sexy.'

He was in it. The second he got killed I was like "My interest has decreased by about 50% but I love QT, so I'll stick it out.' He was, obviously, great in it. And his accent had me pretty much LOLing forever. Oh Gary. You're such a sexy, hilarious, talented beast. I love you.
I got through the Dennis Hopper scenes because I love him, but I think I just cannot abide Christian Slater. His like Leonardo DiCaprio. I can see him 'acting'. Hit the bricks, you basic asshole. Patricia Arquette (sp?) also kind of bugs me. I thought about sticking it out because I love Christopher Walken and his crazy speech patterns, but I was so bored I just couldn't see myself hanging in there for the next 1 hour 20.
My boss' name is Bill and as much as I love him (he's insanely smart, he professionally pushes me and I can speak very directly to him - seriously, I adore him, but like all mad geniuses, he occasionally pisses me off), he was really crushing the balls I do not have today. I kept saying to my best work girlfriends "I'm gonna kill Bill", which naturally put me in the mood for the movie. So here I am, watching 'Kill Bill Vol 1" for what has to be the 8th time, enjoying it as much as it was my first time. Volume 2 (which I love even more than volume 1) is up next.
Also, I don't know if any of you guys have seen 'Death Proof' or 'Double Dare', but both are absolutely, mind-blowingly awesome. 'Death Proof' is fictional, but it prominently features Uma Thurman's absolutely adorable 'Kill Bill' stunt double (Zoe Bell) as herself battling an evil Kurt Russell (loved him since I was a kid). 'Double Dare' is a documentary about stunt people which is a subculture I find absolute fascinating. It follows Zoe Bell and Jeannie Epper (legendary stunt woman from a family of stunt people). An absolute must see. On Netflix Instant Watch.
Withinreason - I finally saw 'Prick Up Your Ears'. It was sooo good. And sad. Oh Gary.

I had those things in hand until I looked at how much fat is in them. Have you tried the Southwestern Chicken Quesadillas? To die. But I wouldn't nuke them. I put them in a tiny bit of veggie oil in a pan after warming them in the nuker per directions. Luscious!

I shop at Whole Foods often, but not for everything. Sometimes it's the only place to find certain things. I LOOOOOOVE to cook and eat, and I don't mind paying more for a premium ingredient when I'm experimenting with a new recipe(food is really the only thing I splurge on-I'm a total tightwad in all other ways). And I like to eat as clean as possible for my budget, which means grocery-shopping at a combo of Trader Joe's, Safeway, and Whole Foods.
I'll look for the espresso powder at Safeway - but I bet you anything they won't have the smoked Paprika! Safeway SUCKS ASS.
