Icelandic Air used to have crazy cheap tickets. I don't know if after their economic crash they kept it up.

Iceland is a magical place. We went one year (in November!) and it was AWESOME. All I can say is it's magical.

We had so many adventures and experiences, it was probably my favorite overseas trip. Even better than France, because the people don't look down on you for being American (although French food is miles better).

ETA: The people are very warm and friendly. They kept thinking we were Icelandic, but everyone spoke perfect English.
