QOTD: Gavin Rossdale Likes Gwen Stefani Better When She's Painted Up
When Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron were together, they'd sometimes wake up next to each other and just as the sun hit his SANS FARDS face, she'd say to him, "You look so much prettier without all that make-up on your face." But those words will never fall out of Gavin Rossdale's mouth, because he likes his wife Gwen Stefani more when she looks like a foundation stick with eyes and red lips. Gwen told Harper's Bazaar (via UsWeekly) that she's usually got face pores full of slap (Yes, I typed "slap" and yes, I've been reading from the Southern Memaw's Dictionary again) and her husband loves her like that:
"I've always been a girl who loves to dress up. I already put my makeup on twice today: I put it on to take my kid to school, and then I went home, washed my face, and put it on again to have lunch with you. I like to make my husband like me more. And he likes it when I'm wearing makeup."
"And then sometimes, when I've got a bunch of make-up on, he calls me Marilyn. Then he tells me to put on a strap-on and slap his ass cheeks with it. It's weird, but whatever. I do it, because I like to make my husband like me more."

Yeah, mostly...I went to Lake Tahoe this time, and it's a pretty protected lake so you can't really 'get the lake dirty' there, using motor boats etc., but it's a really beautiful area.
I did a bit of paddle boating, fishing, hiking, picture taking, and mostly burning my skin, but it was fun. Beautiful weather. I need to go back when I have more than 4 days though. ;-)

That was a tactless comment on Gwen's part & it really made her look pathetic; in retrospect hopefully she realizes this. Choose your words much more wisely.
As for pleasing the second coming of christ(yawn)...Gavin isn't everything. I mean if he does cheat on her or is also into men, Gwen can move on, she was fine before him and can be fine after.
Gwen is pretty, she wears red lipstick, and that doesn't translate to her caking on makeup. Its just a bolder color of what 90% of women wear - lip color or lip gloss; either way it is the same amount of product on the face & I think it is flattering.

Gwen without makeup looks like a completely different person. I guess you can't fault him, he probably doesn't recognize her without it.
Her marriage sounds exhausting. You don't write some needy stage 5 clinger crap like Return to Saturn and then marry the guy. Must suck to be Gwen but I guess she'll do anything to keep her crappy marriage to her gay husband (I mean she's put up with it for this long).

Funny , most men like their women with little to no make up on ... the more natural look is usually more appealing. Men dont like kissing foundation and heavy lipstick. Gwen must be ugly as shit without it if he prefers her with it.
I can understand him liking it when she's "put together" - what man doesnt like a woman that takes care of her appearance .... but to prefer make up on her, seems like her husband thinks she's a dog otherwise.

In regards to the har dyes. They do sell vegetable based dyes that wash out or are temporary and don't damage the hair. I cannot tell you how many kds at my kids schools come to school with different colored hair every other day.

I touched Gavin and wiped some sweat off the back of his neck this past May at a music festival. I was in the front row at the Bush show. It was fucking awesome. And, as M.E. knows, kids will pick out exactly what they want to wear, but I SWEAR you can tell when a kid has picked out a funky outfit and when a grownup has picked out a funky outfit FOR them.

Agree. If you ask most guys they like minimal or no make-up on a woman. Besides, who wants to be bothered with that kind of maintenance? Gets exhausting to try and maintain a certain standard of "beauty" that isn't real.

Much of Gwen's makeup is a business and image decision, and I think it's smart for her not to leave her house without looking her best. She's aware of the paparrazi (sp?) and that today's stars loose much of their glamour and mystique when roaming around at Ralph's in sweatpants.
And this quote is why I don't like meeting a guy at a bar/event when I've dressed up and put on makeup. Because "IRL" I wear glasses and no makeup. Makes me worry that I could meet someone who wants me to have my face painted at all times or be that high maintenance trophy type. Gwen found a guy who likes her for it, so good for her.
