File this under: Yet another reason to hate on toddlers.
Toddlers have don't have to work, don't have to go to school, don't have to walk much, don't have to go through a 30-minute beauty treatment every night, can get away with wearing fucked up outfits in public, can make a poopy in their pants without getting judged for it and they don't have to worry about getting the cops called on them when they bust into a full tantrum on the floor of a McDonald's after their parent refuses to buy them a soft-serve. Toddlers have it all!
And Neil Patrick Harris' twin toddlers really have it all. Look at this toddler. This toddler is in the arms of Doogie Howser on Elton John's yacht in St. Tropez while all of us aren't in the arms of Doogie Howser and aren't on Elton John's yacht docked in St. Tropez. But mostly, I'm mad at that toddler for making that life vest work, because I've never ever been able to do that no matter how hard I try to match my boat-riding outfit with the color orange.

Foxxy - I do have some concerns though as to why the pedal went soft. Sometimes that can be from low fluid so in addition to checking the reservoir under the hood, do a quick glance at the inside of your tires. Make sure there isn't a little puddle on the inside of any wheels. It would look like a tiny chihuahua lifted their leg on the inside of your tires.
If your wheels are dry, let her fly!!!

Ok. #1 make sure you still have brake fluid. Under the hood, usually on the passenger side and close to the windshield, there will be a reservoir where the fluid lives. Sometimes it says Dot 3 or Dot 5... Make sure you have juice. No juice = no drive. If you have juice and you're already hearing grinding, drive it like you stole it! If you've been braking and are already metal on metal, there's already some issues and a few more blocks should not kill you.
I wish I could help you. New pads (or shoes) and rotors (or drums) took me about 45 mins to an hour. The old car I had used a gallon of brake fluid every 10 - 14 days. I have been there honey! I wish you the best.

Hi SDR -- hope you're doing well!! scared of you and the ASE test, whoa ;-)
Within, thank you i was safe at home when i posted (after a 3 hour @#$% bus ride). but, hey, i had bus fare and a home to go back to so what am bitching about, right?
SDR -- i was sitting at light, brakes went to mush, pumped them and brakes thereafter operating fine but now hearing light grind (rear driver wheel). heard light squeak noise for a couple of weeks leading up to this but was thinking wheel problem not brake problem. that wheel was fixed in March tho right now i can't recall exactly what was done and can't find receipt.
15 miles to drive car home. if if do the drive early sat am w/no traffic it's pretty much only 6 stop signs or lights to get on freeway and off to home, so not much braking. if rotor is going to have to be resurfaced at this point anyhow, trying to figure out how much addl damage could be done with that short amount of braking tomorrow
can't reach my mechanic until tomorrow afternoon. any advice is very much appreciated, SDR -- thanks!!

Unfortunately, with a lot of countries, it has to be politically acceptable before it can really be broadly allowed. They could still decide not to allow women to compete, based on the fact that they suck because they're not allowed to actually train, and that makes them look bad because they lose. You have to start somewhere, and I guess as long as there is shown to be a place for them to compete, the country will allow them to go, and aim for getting better the next Games. I think this was a dry-run to see how accepted women doing athletics with the headscarves would be.(If there would be a kerfluffle over that)or how she would be received.

As I say I know nothing of this woman's previous achievements and how good she may be but from what I saw she looked not only outclassed but her opponent realized as well this wasn't really even a match to her. As Pushy's point out should the Olympics not be about "higher stronger faster"? There are a lot of athletes that worked for years and years to participate only to just fall short but they are still incredibly talented. I'm not sure if it's fair to people like that to see someone allowed to participate based more on a political agenda rather than skill.

You can buy it at a few chain drug stores (Walgreen's and one or two others), and it's occassionally on sale. It might be cheaper via Amazon.
As I said, it's one of my favorite personal care products. It's unflavored (though it comes with some peppermint oil if you really like the mint), so it's like water, but it makes your mouth feel so clean!

Whamo, do you remember the women who fought hard to gain standing in skiing? and boxing? The Olympic committee said it was because there weren't enough qualifying competitors or something. Reminds me of the world cup in soccer how some tiny countries that might never win still get a spot, sometimes they play against a very powerful country! Sort of the same thing. It makes it kind of fun.

Sure, I understand the whole premise about a Muslim Women participating in the Olympics, particularly from a country that won't even let a woman drive---but the Olmypics are about the BEST competing. I didn't see it Whamo but I'll take your word for it that she was
really bad at Judo.

Something somewhat similar that has made my teeth a bit whiter is the use of Closys mouthwash. You just swish with it for a while (1.5 to 2 minutes). It hasn't made my teeth any more sensitive.
It (the mouth rinse) is GREAT even if you're not interested in whiter teeth. It's one of my favorite personal care products. I can't recommend it enough.
The company has an annual half-off sale if you buy it directly from them (it's not cheap in stores).

I'm really not up on Olympics or sports in general, but I vaguely recall reading something about a waiver involving women from SA, Qatar, and somewhere else. I *think* because those countries never had women on their teams before. Plus, since women aren't allowed to train in public gyms and such, it's kinda hard to find women to qualify.
If it led to women receiving more training, and more freedoms in general, in countries where they don't get that, I'd be all for it. But in a way, I get the impression that these countries are saying, "woo-hoo, look at us, we have women competing."
I could be totally wrong about the situation, though.

Exactly, I'm right there as far as fighting for her rights absolutely and my thoughts were is the fight for the right more important than the ability once given the chance. I can understand the differences in people's abilities but as this is the Olympics should there be a some sort of higher standard regardless.
As I say I'm not sure what to think on this one and was interested in how others might see it.

Okay, I just read an article about the Saudi girl and it says she's only a blue belt. Olympic rules say you have to have won several competitions to qualify (the "Eddie the Eagle Rule"), but I can't imagine there was anyone she could have competed against in Saudi Arabia.

Within, yeah, that was me. Just use a capful and swish it around your mouth for a bit. It will start to foam and fizzle, but that just means its doing it`s job. If i do it daily, it will make my teeth sensitive, so i do it about 3 times a week.

Whamo, I think it may state in the rules that if you accumulate so many points you qualify. I suppose it's not the athlete's fault if their country doesn't have too many big places around to compete against. I don't think anyone could deny a country the spot if they met the requirements.
OLOL imagine if they said only these three properly qualified athletes can come play, who'd compete? Great games those would be! I didn't see it, maybe it was all about making a statement, I don't know about that. ;)

yay! All of mine came early, but really spicy foods will irritate your intestines, and that can cause your uterus to contract, hence, starting labor.
you need to get your oxytocin levels up, and believe it or not cuddling with your bh, or a massage (you on your side) might do the trick.
