The National Enquirer Tells Macauley Culkin To Get Help
After The National Enquirer said that Macauley Culkin is filling his veins with heroin all day, every day, his rep slapped them down by saying the entire story was made of lies and if he was hooked on heroin, he wouldn't even use their trash paper to keep his heroin in. The National Enquirer isn't backing down, isn't issuing apologies and has really come for Macauley by publicly saying that he needs to get help before he ends up like one of his friends who recently died of an overdose. DAMN. You know that bitch ass little cousin of yours who caught you sipping cognac (don't judge, it was all my mom had in her "bar area" on top of the refrigerator) when you were 16 and told your mom about it? The National Enquirer is like that times ten billion. This is the "get help" open letter to Mac they posted on their website yesterday:
Our advice to Macaulay is to seek professional help to avoid the same tragic fate of other beloved celebrities, including Whitney Houston who died earlier this year.
We believe that the former child star should be doing everything he can to get the treatment he so desperately needs – and which could have saved the life of his friend Elijah Rosello.
Her family confirmed to The ENQUIRER that she did drugs with Macaulay before her drug-related death in March.
Should Macaulay’s representatives continue to deny The ENQUIRER’s accurate and detailed report, we are ready to offer him the opportunity to take a blood test administered by an independent medical lab.
It is a fact that as The ENQUIRER tracked Whitney Houston’s descent into her drug hell, she refused to admit she had a problem – and Whitney was represented by some of those people now denying Macaulay’s potentially deadly problems.
Yes, they brought Whitney Houston into this. My thoughts about this entire mess are best expressed through Kristie the Hutt's face.

I saw him last week in Soho,, NY. He looked normal and healthy...
Since he doesn’t seem to have a proper family but instead, surrounded by enabler leeches, everything you can do on this matter that might save his life (exposing it, even shaming) ought to be done. Maybe this will be the waking call for the authorities to start and intervene.
And you don’t have to be a clairvoyant to know how much time a heavy user is left with. Doctors do it all the time when they evaluate the time that is left to terminally ill patients to live. So why not doing it here? The magazine probably brought a medical expert who calculated that if one is using class A drugs daily, there is a certain amount of time before his cardio-vascular system collapses. Of course, if he OD’s, it might even be sooner.
His looks reminds me of Depeche Mode’s Dave Gahan who also was a drug addict in the 90’s and even OD’d twice. Gahan looked like an anorexic Jesus- freakishly thin with beard. These are all signs of desperation and apathy.
I don't think the blind item could be Mila cause she isn't exactly A-list. Rather she has barely inched her way to B. Not that there's anything wrong about that - I'm not calling her a loser or anything.
LOL at the picture of Kirstie! That is scary. So is Mac. He should stay the hell away from Kirstie and that cult and maybe quietly go to rehab if he really is hooked on something which he probably is.
Sadness. He was never an asshole and avoided press for the most part even when he made Party Monster and Saved.
Look, as much as we want to pooh pooh the enquirer, they've been right many times recently
Not sure if my last post went through...it's been awhile. This one is worth it though in sadness...he's just about the last person you'd like to see in this situation, he's so talanted (think Party Monster) and seems so aside from Hollywood crap.
Sad. Almost impossible to recover from this shit, but I really hope he can and wants to.

This makes me super sad, he really is a great actor and seems like he's a lovely human, it's really awful. Party Monster is all but one of my favorite movies. Perhaps this is the kick in the pants he needs.
I hope Mac gets better soon, he sounds like such a nice guy but obviously had a messed up childhood.
The blind that was mentioned the other day can't be Mila Kunis because in the BI it says that the actress is still doing drugs with her boyfriend(but they broke up like a year and a half ago)
Doggie, that's hilarious. Lmao

Maybe the Enquirer is trying to call his ass out so people around him get out of the state of denial and get him some help.
Going from the heights of popularity at such a young age to not being able to get arrested as far as jobs go has got to be soul-destroying. And FFS, if he really is on drugs, trying to guilt him won't do a damn thing but make him feel worse about himself, thereby causing him to ingest more drugs. Any addiction, be it substance or food or gambling, cannot be "cured" by making the person feel ashamed.

Very cool to read the thoughtful, caring comments from the dlisters. It would have been depressing to read any harsh critisism towards poor macaulay who I hear is a very gentle, kind (but damaged) soul. I'd like to know, too, why the Enquirer is going after him in such a big, heavy way.
Well, if a plea from the very example of all that is good and loving in the world (The Enquirer) doesn't inspire him to seek help, nothing will. Meanwhile, they have a photographer camped out in each mortuary in Brooklyn just hoping for another Whitney-casket picture.

i have friends who hang out with him in nyc. he definitely does cocaine. not sure about heroin, though.
He really needs to stop that shit...nobody wants to see Dead Alone.
The Enquirer has been very good at uncovering some juicy stories. They uncovered Clinton's numerous dalliances, John Edwards' affair with Rielle Hunter, and other events that I cannot remember off the top of my head. When they are good, they are very good.
And I'm with TexnDoc - that blind item the other day HAS to be Mila Kunis.

DAMN! They sound really sure of themselves. I bet the publicity whores who rep Mac didn't see that coming. Now what?
having experienced losing people in my life to this drug. I am so sad for him and those close to him.
I know that look in his eyes very well. It breaks my heart.
and why does that pic of kirstie make ME feel old??
all of this is shit!

"it was all my mom had in her "bar area" on top of the refrigerator" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH. Damn MK, why you make me laugh? this is sad shit.
As much as most people hate on the Enquirer, for them to run such a huge story probably means it's true. The Edwards affair really cemented their legitimacy. I'll believe the Culkin story way more than I'll believe his PR rep's denials, that's for sure.
Very sad for Macaulay and people who can't break free from addiction! ;(
"Our advice to Macaulay..." -- we see the National Enquirer for the oportunists that they are, but they still get some stories right! Smdh

He looks terrible. As Hekki wrote, he never seemed like a douche - more like a relatively sweet guy who was royally dicked over by his selfish parents (especially his vile dad) and tried to find stability by Playing House with young actresses when he was too young to know better. No matter what's going on with him, I truly wish him well and hope that his parents regret never giving him the protection and support every kid (especially those in show business) deserves.

A guy told me that some addicts are willing to go through the painful withdrawal just so they can get that first high again. He smiled while he told me and I wondered if he was reliving some memories.

I never tried heroin, but from the people I know that used it they said that the first time is the most awesome high, you never want to not feel like that again, and each time they used thereafter it was just chasing that first high. This is why heroin addicts OD quite a lot, because they use more and more to try and acheive that first high feeling.
***********************************************
I could see that. But JEEBUS! Heroin withdrawls are the one of the top reasons I never tried it!

I think culkin is considered a public figure, so a lawsuit need prove they either made up the story, or published it when they knew it was inaccurate.
I suspect a couple of affidavits from folks who shot up with culkin is sufficient to protect them.

Happy Birthday, Paquita!!
whoa. has the Enquirer ever done anything like this before?! they must be really solid on this story -- they may have photos of him with a needle in his arm, or a declaration from someone(s) who got high with him over a period of recent time.
The enquirer has done some surprisingly effective journalism in the last few years. They get sued by stars all the time, so they do know what they can get away with.
Note that they brought out the john edwards baby momma story when the mainstream media ignored it. After vociferous denials from edwards and the syncophantic liberal media, the story started to be substantiated, and edwards was ultimately charged with election law felonies (mistrail due to hung jury).
Man...that's horrible. I always liked Macaulay Culkin, even after his Home Alone days he managed not to turn into a gigantic d-bag. I hope he gets help and manages to get clean :(

also, i think the Texn may have nailed it with the Mila Kunis guess on that blind. yuuuuuuup the clues fit her as much as that insufferable Vegara whore

Can't find it now, but someone asked if they were the only ones who liked Kirstie better with some meat on her bones.
I do, too. Some people look better fat. Oprah, Al Sharpton, Bill Clinton, Kelly Osborne.
People who look better thin are Jessica Simpson, Janet Jackson, Val Kilmer.
The Enquirer usually has a stable of aging stars (Loretta Lynn, Kirk Douglas, etc), that they rotate, claiming they are on their death beds. Usually they pick on peepaws.
That being said, something very wrong with him.
Candy Finnigan or Jeff VonVon to the rescue!

Poor Mac. He is so damaged. I hope he makes it through, even in his few adult roles, he is a good actor and seems in real life to be soft hearted. Let's get Candy Finnegan on this shit.
Although if Kirstie hears the word "candy", she might eat her.
I'm not the only one who thinks kirstie's picture is upstaging him. I had some lust for her when she was lt saavik on star trek. I see she kind of looks like Jacko in the first picture, and its making me uncomfortable. EEEWWWW!

I used to like Kirstie but she had turned herself into a big FAT joke, both grotesque and pathetic!
Man I hope that Kirstie photo is photoshopped. I have nothing against fat Kirstie, but girlfriend looks like one of those female huts from Star Wars when she packs on the pounds. She's just so sloppy looking when she gains weight.

But then again, what do I know.
This is so sad. For distraction, I'd rather hear more about Kirstie! Twat - I don't think Adrienne cares/cared if Paul is getting some on the side, either! I'm curious in the 10 yrs how many times they ever effed. We already know the kids weren't conceived naturally. Poor Paul.

He does have a couple of brothers that he did seem close to though and who also got away from the father. Not too certain if they are still supportive in his life recently or not.
I have a couple of family members (cousins) who are in
out patient tx now for oxycontin and oxy and other muscle relaxants dependence and both have been seemingly managing okay. I know it isn't quite the same, but there is some hope. We should never lose hope and I hope he has people in his corner who feels this way still and has not given up on his being. Selling info to this rag is just wrong in my books, even if the situation looks to have become bleak.

Because I watched him in the movies when he was a little boy, this just makes me feel unusually sad. I have read the success rate for kicking heroin is very very low. If this was my child I would be sick with fear and grief. Where is his family in all of this?
