Open Post: Hosted By An Obvious Warning To Scooter Users
A 56-year-old woman must've had some shit to do, because she didn't want to wait for the elevator in a Boston subway station to take her from the red line platform to higher ground. So ole' girl winked at Darwin by trying to scooter surf up a moving escalator. In case you didn't already know: scooter + escalator = flipping over and busting your ass.
FOX10tv says that homegirl is fine and she "walked away from the incident" without any injures. The bruise to her decision-making cell in her brain doesn't count.

You are completely right about this. I should never have gotten into this thread as I knew what would be going down. Shame on me. I'm smarter than that usually. That said, August 6th will be the 4th anniversary of my Dad's death. I found him. In the past 10 years of his life, he and I became quite close. He was my best girlfriend and our relationship prior was very up/down. He was a neat guy, 2 masters degree, cranky and opinionated as hell (guess that's where I get that) but Whamo, A HEART OF GOLD. To this day,
I long and grieve for him. He died of a heart attack brought on by his obesity. I withnessed this fine man fight obesity his entire life. So you are right Whamo, it is very close to my heart.

I had told you to download a third party browser (Opera Mini) for your BB. It has been awhile, and I haven't posted much lately. From the way I've seen you talking about taking too long to post comments and other stuff on your "damb BB" (lol) I'm assuming it didn't help. (Or you didn't try it? Idk)
I will say this, I just upgraded (well sorta downgraded as I went from a Storm 2 to a Curve 9370) to a new phone several mths ago. This one runs OS 7 where as my Storm was still on some OS 5 version. Got it all switched over and it was all GREAT. Well, even on my other phone Opera would freeze on occasion and the only thing you could do was delete the app and reinstall it. It would always reinstall with exactly everything left the exact same way I had it set up because it gave the option to replace with newer version or keep the old one. When it did this on my new phone it didn't give that option, and just installed the newest version. WELL, something in that version just SUCKS because I can't even use it anymore. I'm using the BB browser all of the time. But it takes no time to post comments and stuff. I'm sure your new phone is running OS 7 because most all of the new phones now have it.
Well, if I run across anything new I'll keep you and the other BB users informed, to make Dlisted reading and commenting GREAT for all of us!!

There can be other reasons besides laziness that people gain weight.
Depression, anxiety, a trauma in their life. I know we snark here, and to a point, I even laugh at the fat jokes. But some people are downright vicious and don't know when to give it a rest. And besides, we're supposed to laugh at famous people because they are dorks. :)
Remember, we all have our vices. Some of us are fat, but I bet the majority of people here have or had some sort of problem or addiction that they are not proud of (or maybe they are). I don't know.
So to all of the computer addicts, anorexics, potheads, alchoholics, perscription drug abusers, sex addicts, racists, liars, thieves, abusers etc., remember how perfect you are when you are being vile and ugly, just so other people think you are cool.
I think everyone here is great and funny, but some people can be just plain mean and disgusting.

Spider, I have tried EVERYTHING except the nasal spray. Gum, patches, Chantix (barfed my toenails up with that crap, lol), even tried hypnosis!
It's been close to 18 yrs since I was able to quit for more than a couple of days to a week. And that was when I was pregnant with my only child. She's 17, started back when she was a mth old.
Thanks for the props, I am such a frickin' worse. I do not like to be even *remotely* uncomfortable. Big baby! I need to be put under for about a mth, then once they bring me back up Put on house arrest. No car, no $$$ or access to $$$ ( because I *would* walk 3 miles if I had the $$$. Lol) I am hard core! XD

Spider ya that was actually the opening scene but the scene as is it were was just a guy bringing back a car to the rental place and the car is absolutely fucking destroyed, I mean there isn't a straight piece of metal on the entire thing and the guys at the rental place are like "what's this?" And the dude going "this is the car I rented, I'm bringing it back" and they kinda stunned speechless going...."This is the our car" he's "yup just brining it back, I got into a little ding up with it" well the cut forward to just after he got it off the lot and as the camera pulls back he's spray painting a number on the side of it and then he rolled it up into an arena full of cars revving up their engine and they drop the flag for a real full out fucking smash up derby! They took this brand new rental into the smash em up derby bashed the living shit out of it and then brought it back like it was nothing. Lol! The rental guys are FREAKING OUT!! I was laughing so hard!!

Thanks bigbendy! happy to oblige. I used to be a bigtime competitive swimmer and so I geek out every 4 years when it's finally on TV. It's so exciting to watch, and swimmers like Phelps (and Lochte too), who excel at so many events--rather than just one stroke or event--are a rare breed. Looking forward to watching him kick ass in two weeks....I'll be parked in front of my TV!
thanks Whamo....I think it's sad, more than anything else. With diets having a 90% failure rate, it's clear that the answer isn't as simple as just eating less, or exercising more. But it's clear that it is a real crisis....so I hope it gets solved within my lifetime.
