EH: yeah. I have a faction of white trash cousins (all the other ones are normal) and there's one with a baby daddy that comes and goes. she's always posting photos of the gigantic stuffed teddy bears and off ramp flowers he brings when they're together. And posting crazy song lyrics when they're broken up. They also have sad looking barbecues with gross food.
Their posts are always more interesting than the Martha Stewart ones though.

One of my close college friends got married, seperated, re married, etc., and while she dished to me everyday all the little details of her love life, she never once posted on FB while my other friend whose resume i helped write is cussing someone out in her post almost weekly. Its like damn, everyone goes through breakups but why do u feel the need to present urself like this because all it does is make u look bad, not the other person.

I'm so sorry for your loss GG and it truly is nice that you feel better to have shared such a thing with all of us. Losing a parent is of course one of the toughest things to have to go through. EH: I know what you mean, but I think the college people might be holding back on certain things. Maybe materially they are doing better, but everyone has problems.
I also have noticed a huge difference in the way people post on FB, based on socio-economic factors. The more prosperous, the less likely they are to post personal things, unless it shows them in a good light. The poorer/trashier people let it all hang out. They post drunk photos and "sexy" photos and you can always tell when a couple is fighting -- and when they've made up.

Trust me i know, but it seemed like when we were younger, my non college and college friends all partied the same, worked the same, loved the same and worried about the same things. I always thought my non college friends would just work their way up the Hollistet chain or whatever and while not super successful, would live comfotable making 35k a year or whatever, but man...i volunteered to help my friend write a resume over the weekend and i was shocked! Her resume read walmart, telemarketer, target telemarketer....all paid undet $9/hr with no promotions and like a 25 cent raise. This bitch is over 30 and thats all shes accomplished in her life, i had no fucking idea, i always that she was so smart and witty, but she barely knew how to use a computer?!?!? Just sad man...

You go to, and graduate from college, you develop a different mindset. Obviously you've gained experience managing your life and you've got a degree so you have a head start plus an asset that will earn you a damn good salary, hopefully. You've spent four yrs min. around like minded ambitious people who take advantage of their youth and income to have experiences that help them become well rounded people.
It ain't the same if you just have a high school diploma or the like and can only start out working a wage job.
