Concert Promoters Won't Let Bruce Springsteen And Paul McCartney Be Great
At the very end of Bruce Springsteen's 3 hour-long set at the Hard Rock Calling Festival in London's Hyde Park last night, panties blew off of overexcited crotches when Paul McCartney came out to yodel and twerk his ass next to The Boss for two songs. Bruce said that he's been waiting 50 years to perform on stage next to Paul McCartney. They finished "I Saw Her Standing There" together and as they sang out "Twist & Shout," the show's promoters issued a STFU notice on them by turning off their mics. The promoters didn't worn a ho or scream at Bruce to pull his cheeks together and cut it short. They just muted a bitch like that. After some people called the silencing of The Boss and McCartney a blasphemous sin, the organizers said that they had to do it, because the clock struck 10:30 and that's the time the city told them to kill the fun or they'd get a fine. Live Nation, the show's organizers, issued this statement of words to The Guardian:
"It was unfortunate that the three hour-plus performance by Bruce Springsteen was stopped right at the very end but the curfew is laid down by the authorities in the interest of the public's health and safety."
But Stevie van Zandt of the E-Street Band wasn't taking that excuse and tweeted on and on about being muzzled:
One of the great gigs ever in my opinion. But seriously, when did England become a police state? We break curfews in every country but only English cops needs to "punish us" by not letting us leave until the entire crowd goes. Is there just too much fun in the world? We would have been off by 11 if we'd done one more. On a Saturday night! Who were we disturbing? The cops got nothing more important to do? How about they go catch some criminals instead of fucking with 80,000 people having a good time? English cops may be the only individuals left on earth that wouldn't want to hear one more from Bruce Springsteen and Paul McCartney! I'm sorry but I have to be honest I'm pissed. Like I said, it didn't ruin the great night. But when I'm jamming with McCartney don't bug me! If it's a public transport issue I'm sorry but people are adult enough to go get a train if they need to without the cops pulling the plug!
Something in the milk ain't clean about this shit. I bet Live Nation isn't spitting up the whole story. Why do I have a feeling that 10 seconds after the music died, Heather Mills was seen hopping away with a cuntified smile of victory on her face and a fake backstage pass in her hand. That bitch never stops!

Some of Springsteens songs are alright but after 3 hrs of his screaming I'd be wanting to rip my ears off my head.
Crazyinjapan...Born in the USA was maybe his worst!
The Stones would never stand for this!

I had a good laugh over this. Finally, someone silences Sir Paul. You'd think he'd get the hint that nobody wants to hear him sing anymore.
And yes, the boss does screech and holler a lot but I'd still hit it.

McCartney, in his life, has written some beautiful songs. My little nephew loves "Eleanor Rigby" and there are so many tunes by him that I just adore that I couldn't even list them all. Springsteen, on the other hand, I've never gotten into. Boring. That horrid "Born in the USA" song is just one line of music, over and over and over and over...
Is Bruce a homosexual?
We think yes.
Discuss!
Sal! Springsteen's music all sounds the same to me. If he isn't mumbling, he's screaming. And McCartney's talent is nowhere near as great as he is given credit for. He's prolific, not a genius.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! The ego has landed and hit the ground like a safe. I'm sure the performance was great but the law won't be bent just to satisfy the giant egos that are Springsteen and McCartney. Two VERY overrated performers, IMO.

ITA Doggy, I bet they were fuming. Even when you get old, entitled hos should still get a lesson in humbleness.

I must be an english cop cuz i wouldn't want to hear one more song from these two far over the hill novelty performers.
Blame it on Heather! LOL!
I can't wait until Stevie's next season of "Lillyhammer" comes out. I love that show!

Oh please. You should have started earlier or skipped one of your other songs if you wanted Paul to come on. I'm so sick of these assholes thinking the world has to stop for them.
There are laws and we all have to follow them. Not everyone wants to hear Bruce and Paul screech for 3+ hours.

In their defense, they had their hearing aids turned down.
Life is all about time-management. You're given a curfew, you work within it. I'm sure the fans wanted them to play all night, but not the neighbors.
Bruce may be The Boss in the U.S. but apparently he's just a peon in the U.K.
*I'm ashamed of what I did for a Klondike Bar*
Their vocal cords won't either.
