Frasier Is A Dad Again
Kelsey Grammer and his wife Kayte told everyone earlier this year that she had a double case of the babies. But in a statement released today to People, Kelsey said that one of the twins, a boy, died right after they told everyone. That's the drop of sad news for them. The drop of happy news for them is that Kayte birthed out a baby girl early this morning in L.A. and no, they didn't name her EffOffCamille:
“We are thrilled. Mother and child are in excellent health.
We were ecstatic earlier this year, when we announced that Kayte was carrying twins. Tragically we lost the little boy shortly thereafter. This was not something we cared to make known publicly at the time. It was unspeakably painful and we know that people will understand our desire to keep the news private then, as we know they will respect our privacy in this matter now.
A glorious birth with a lingering sadness is ours today. We choose to celebrate the life that has been given us. We proudly introduce our Faith Evangeline Elisa Grammer, to the world today looking forward to the days ahead and the children yet to come.”
Just add that sadness to Kelsey's Wikipedia page. Have you ever read Kelsey's Wiki? It's like a novella. Tragedy after escandalo after tragedy. Kelsey's estranged father was shot dead, his twin half-brothers died in a scuba accident, his younger sister was murdered by a serial killer and his second wife tried to shoot his ass. There's like a full season of 48 Hours Mystery right there.
I get why the named their kid Faith and I kind of like the name Faith (any name that shares a name with a George Michael song is a good name), but did they really need to give her the initials F.E.E.G. FEEG!

I can't with names that end in th. Faith, Beth, Gwyneth. People who name their children names with an intentional lisp do so in order to sound even more pretentious. I'm convinced.
Sorry to hear one of the twins did not make it. On another note his old ass has enough kids he neglects to chase after younger tail. This girl will be traded up in a year or so.
You know, I always thought he seemed a bit...pretentious (the kindest thing I can say at the moment). Having read his public life story, I can actually understand why he always seems to go from one woman to another. After so much loss, he might just want to have someone stay...that loves him, that he loves. Maybe he's just going to keep trying until he finds it. Not going to throw any shade on his game after all his loss.
Congrats to the new parents, and I'm sorry for them that the new life included another loss.

Hekki & Twat - I must have a good ob-gyn. I approached him when I was 31-32 about tying my tubes. Insurance won't cover it but for 2K, I can be sterilized. Didn't realize I wasn't capable of making my own reproductive decisions at that age. ;-)

Anyway, if you don't like him for dumping his last wife then at least give him props for giving her half of his $100,000,000 fortune (even though she's the one who singlehandedly took over the business side of his career and turned the shambles that it was into the $100,000,000, lol). I've never seen Real Housewives of Anything Anywhere, but I got the impression that she wasn't really into the marriage, just the "stuff", and Kelsey seems like he needs lots of validation. It probably worked out just fine for her. He and his new wife look very happy.

I think it's not super nice to be all like it would suck to have IVF treatments when you're 40 just because some people haven't had a choice or have had bad luck with it and it can be really heartbreaking. Anyway I know it's just your opinion but it can be very hurtful.

My grandmother, her sister and their mother all had children at the same time! In fact, my mother is older than one of her uncles by a few months.
I have a set of cousins on my dad's side who are uncle and nephew and only 3 months apart.
Twas Brillig -- Isn't "Boss" awesome? First of all, it's filmed in my hometown, but man, it's a great show, and he's pure evil in it. Did you see that last episode where he reemed out Kitty? Talk about treating someone like pure shit. And that daughter situation on the show is something else. A friend's cousin does hair on the show; she said Kelsey is a really nice guy. Nice to hear despite the fact that he's pretty much a facist in real life.

Me either! I would probably go stark raving mad, but I guess the good thing is that when there's more than one, they can entertain each other. My daughter was an only child and we lived in a neighborhood with not a lot of kIds, so she was always bored.
I guess God only allowed me to have one kid because seriously, I could not do more than one. My hat's off to those that have stairsteps. I love kids, don't get me wrong, but they have a way of ganging up on you. I hav a few friends that have more than 3 and I really am in awe of them. Their children are fairly well behaved.
Cocoebert: do it. I had my last baby at age 38 and it was a bit much, if I do say so. It's never a good time to have a baby, and your career is fucked when you do, no matter what. Jump in.

I can't with the old-ass parents. I'm 32 and want kids soon because I don't want to be 40 and going in for IVF treatments because I just couldn't find the time earlier. It's not the best thing for my career, but there's never a perfect time so might as well jump in.

Aww, good luck to you. You're right, there never is a perfect time, but I think you're doing at the right time. I was 23 when I had my daughter, and truth be told, I am a much better parent now than when I first started. I was kind of uptight and not real patient. If I had kids now, I would definitely be a calmer mother. But, I don't have the energy to chase a baby. I'd be like, 'Do whatever you want, just don't poke an eye out or kill yourself'. Whereas with my daughter, I barely let her go outside.
