Open Post & Quick Programming Note: Hosted By A BIG ASS SHAAAAAAAAAWK!
By popular demand, here's a NSFWish (without headphones due to a little scream cursing) video you might have already seen of a girl in an orange hoodie just fishing on her deck and being like, "Oh, hey fish, I just met you and this OHMYSHIT ITSAFAWKINGSHAAAAAWK!" Dude even says, "Reel it in!" Reel in a big ass shawk? He's crazy for that one. You know, if I was a shark, that's how I'd want to be greeted. I bet that shawk is sad it can never have a beer with that dude, because everybody should have a beer with that dude. It'd be the most exciting beer ever.
And now I'm off to the dentist again for another round of fun, so I'll be gone for a while. I know, my mouth will always be a dirty gutter trap, so I don't even know why I bother. Whatever, I just hope that my dentist has already seen this video and when he pulls out some disgusting crap from my mouth he screams, "It's a big ass shaaaawk!"

EvilShoe...I also take Magnesium for migraine. It seems to be working! I used to get them at *least* once a month and they would last 2-3 DAYS. I, too, was "functional"...just in a lot of pain. I think I've had 1? since I started w. the Magnesium/Calcium/Zinc multi vit. It's also helped (I think) w. period cramps.
I've only had the ocular kind once. How often do you have those? They are HORRIBLE. I thought I was stroking out or something when it happened!
I'm also pretty sure my migraines caused my Sudden Hearing Loss in my lft. ear. I've been researching...and since the drs can't figure out what caused it, that's my conclusion. Who knew migraines could cause hearing loss?!
Hey Evil Shoe
Post concussion too. Thanks for talking about. Will come back later to take notes. Got lots of vision things going also. Acupuncture helped a lot, cranial manipulation. Massage is very good, but I can't take too much of strangers touching me. Haha.
Re: Hekki's kombucha.
Hekki you smart slut,
Care to share the how to? I do know it SMELLS during fermentation like a mf. You mentioned making money at home. You could have a business selling foods you make. Not that hard to get a home kitchen approved once upon a time.
MK Hope your smile is back in order soon. :-)

Coconut water is gross tasting and smells like feet, but it really works at hydrating you in a flash.
*****
If the coconut water you're drinking smells funny and tastes gross then it should be thrown away immediately! It's stale and the only thing it will do is send you to the bathroom immediately. I would know as I have lived all my life in the Caribbean and my grandparents have coconut trees in the backyard. Fresh coconut water is clear and has a light smell, it is naturally sweet with a very refreshing taste. Fresh coconut water looks like regular bottled water. If the coconut water you consume looks milky or cloudy it is stale and should not be consumed especially if it smells bad. Coconut water has a very short shelf life of about three days before it turns.
I also take Magnesium/Potassium for headaches, it helps.
Tharmar, I have had headaches my whole life. I'm a functioning migrane suffer, I can work etc and luckily don't have to sit in a dark room.
I use an Imitrex Rx when it's really bad (1-3 a year) it's non-narcotic (not a fan of pain meds). My issue now is post-concussion headaches and ocular migraines which are new to me. UGH the light show from the ocular part is downright freaky! It's headache floaters on crack, lit up in weird shapes. It's not a detached retina, I checked.
I use BC powders which can give you rebounds if not careful. I avoid anything with Nutrasweet (migraine/headache trigger) I'm always surprised how many don't know and jug tons of diet soda. I avoid bananas, pecans, Chinese food (even if they say no MSG) and anything overly sugared.
OT Headaches, they finally left when hormones left for me. In other words I aged out of them. Until then it can be brutal. Most pain meds caused rebound headaches. Avoid your triggers. Don't dwell on shit you can't fix.
Urmomma congrats on new job!
Peace out sluts.

Very tardy to the party and haven't read even close to part of the posts. But I did notice that many of the recent ones on this thread were about medicinal foods, so I gotta add mine.

When I consume yogurt for more than a few days, I develop a slight flush on my face.
When I try coconut water, it makes me think of cold dishwater.
Kombucha is a live- culture, fermented (slightly alcoholic) drink. A lot of people love it, but the taste reminds me of vomit.

Kombucha
I used to drink that shit, it taste like carbonated dish water but I gotta say, I used to feel fantastic after drinking it! Better than 5 hour energy or coffee at keeping me focused an alert while at work!

Sans Fards: we LOVE kefir. My kids beg me for it. But it's $$$ when three kids drink it up in one sitting.
I love kombucha and used to brew my own. Gotta get back to doing that... Also make sauerkraut and pickles.
As with kefir, drinking it makes me feel really good.
I totally believe in the benefits of live/fermented foods.

mike, I'm not a big yogurt fan either. I tried some kefir today from Trader Joes and it tasted like a raspberry smoothie with very little sugar, which I can get down with.

Anyone ever tried drinking kefir on a regular basis? I know a bunch of people who swear by it. My immune system has gone on vacation lately.
I've like to say I do, but live-culture yogurt products are one of the healthful things I don't like enough to consume regularly (see also: coconut water and kambucha).

Both, or so I've read. I took it in capsule form. It is supposed to good for inflammation.
