The Eyes Of Scientology Are Watching Katie Holmes (UPDATE)
This post definitely needs a soundtrack:
Katie Holmes is probably used to having the eyes of Scientology handlers glued to the back of her head so she doesn't take swimming lessons, fake her death on a yacht trip, run away to a small town and fall in love with Kevin Anderson. But TMZ says that since Katie Holmes is going hard at Tommy Girl by filing for sole custody of Suri, Scientology has stepped up their spying game. For the past few weeks, two SUVs have been trailing Katie's every move on the outside and several paparazzo who regularly stalk the estranged Bride of Scientology tell TMZ that the dudes driving those SUVs are not the paparazzi or from the tabloids. Cut to Katie opening up her medicine cabinet and finding that all of the butt lube bottles in there are turned with their labels facing out. They're watching you, girl!
None of this is surprising since I'm sure the top (and bottom, and versatile) queens of Scientology are not happy that Katie is trying to take away their golden child and screwing with Princess Tommy Girl. Katie has even moved out of the NYC apartment she shared with Tommy. TMZ says that in the past few weeks, Tommy has checked into a hotel every time he's been in town and hasn't slept one night in TomKat's apartment. Katie is living in a new apartment she rented weeks ago to prepare for the day she ripped her marriage contract straight in Tommy's face. Also, Katie filed for divorce in New York, because she has a better chance of getting sole custody of Suri here. But Radar says that Tommy is taking off his earrings, putting on all his chunkiest rings and slathering his face with Vaseline, because he's ready for a fight. Tommy's lawyers will respond to Katie's divorce filing this week by asking the New York court to move the case to California. Tommy will file his own divorce papers in California for both tax reasons and Suri-getting reasons. Tommy doesn't want anyone to think their primary residence is in NYC, because that will fuck with his taxes.
I bet in a galaxy nearby, L. Ron Hubbard is punching his Thetans right in the face. Now Scientology knows that the media is watching them watching Katie's ass. But still, Katie should still go to Matt Lauer's apartment and make him drool into an empty perfume bottle. Then she needs to spray the essence of glib all over her body. Those Scientology crazies won't get near that scent. Or she can just always wear a long coat made of antidepressants. Because those creepy alien whores are scarier than John Travolta's chomping-at-the-bit anus and they're really capable of anything.
UPDATE: One of the lawyers for Scientology deny their following Katie and we should believe him, because it's not like everything that comes out of Scientology's mouth is the opposite of the truth.
Here's a few pictures of the two SUVs allegedly busting some Scientology surveillance shit on Katie. I also threw in some pictures of a sad Tommy being sad on a sad helicopter ride.

They really seem to love excessive verbiage, and excess everything, for nothing but its own sake. I actually did the "personality test" with a friend when we were bopping around Dupont Circle in DC one day back in the 70s .. jesus marie, the thing had about 10,000 questions .. my bullshit meter was in the red zone after about five minutes ..
Speaking of which, apologies if this link has already been posted .. but the South Park scientology episode is possibly Matt & Trey's absolute finest hour .. absolute must viewing .. the last line and end credits are especially awesome and fuck-you

Undine, I'm not sure why you pointed out that part of what I said. Maybe you missed the point?
--------
I pointed it out because it sums up the reason I do not associate with the Christian Church or religions in general. (obviously a tangent, but actually the whole religious discussion is a tangent)
I never said that was the substance of your post. I just had to say it, because I hate it every time I hear those words some of out of a Christian's mouth. I guess you could say I would hate hearing them from your pastor? I hated hearing them from mine when I was growing up.
Interesting because I've noticed that Katie HAS been living here in NYC for a long time. I wondered what was behind that and now it's obvious. Poor thing - I hope she gets out sane and whole...because she hasn't been either of those things since her unfortunate entanglement with that fucking freak Cruise. She can always stay at my place because no man ever comes within 100 feet of my front door :=)

Undine, I'm not sure why you pointed out that part of what I said. Maybe you missed the point? The point was everyone is equal in God's eyes and should be loved equally. The Catholic Church demonizes gays and excludes them. The Christian Church loves everyone equally whether they agree with what people are doing or not. Now that's obviously what they're supposed to do. In this fallen world, a lot of people don't so what they're supposed to. And there are Catholics who have no problem with gays and there are Christians who hate gays with a passion. Until everyone is treated equally and fairly by everyone else, there will be arguments like this one. :-(

I was hired for a job awhile ago and the supervisor kind of mumbled at the end "oh yeah the family is Scientologist"...that day I got probably a 7 page email describing what I wasn't allowed to do, talk about etc. It was also very paranoid and warned of people following me potentially (a couple of ex family members were SP's who used to be pretty high up in the church--I was able to google them). It was all very specific like "don't bring up allergies, yoga, meditation, doctors, your own health or any surgeries you may have had" but the list went on FOREVER. Also I can't imagine why I would bring up surgery or yoga but it was an interesting and scary read. I didn't take the job.

My final post on religion, because this divorce is so much more interesting to me.
I am serious when I say, I am sorry that you have seen the worst of the Catholic religion, because, other than the horrific crap on the news, my involvement as a child at Catholic school, and as adult in the church has been nothing but positive. In fact, recently I went back to church, because of some issues in my life, and it gave me new perspective, and comfort. I am no religious nut by any stretch, but I was treated very nicely by everyone, and it helped me feel better about things.
I believe every religion has it's bright spots and it's dark ones. I am not wealthy, so I have nothing to offer the church, other than maybe attending now and again, and a dollar for a raffle I gave last weekened.
It sucks when people fall in to bad churches, but that is NOT exclusive to Catholicism. There are plenty of bad apples in ALL churches.
As far as your Autistic nephew, that is awful that a teacher was making fun, BUT it is not surprising that kids made fun. That's nasty kids for you, not just nasty, Catholic kids. The teacher should have been fired. Nuns in Catholic schools are usually very strict, but the ones in my school we kind, and like the nuns you saw in Sound of Music. No kidding. I wished I had stayed at my Catholic school instead of switching like I did, because the next school where I went was HELL! Talk about being bullied, every day sucked, and it wasn't a Catholic school, just a private school, with little rich fuckers who were HIDEOUS!

Agree 100% Dog. Roman Catholics do not recognize gay marriage. Or condone divorce.
My Mom used to tell me that was part of the reason she never divorced my Dad. She would have been excommunicated from the church, and she was deeply religious.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I went to junior and high school with a girl who was being sexually abused by her father. Her mother knew (he was abusive to her as well) but she did nothing. Not one thing. We never knew what was happening to our friend until years later and when my sister asked her why her mother didn't divorce her father, do you know what she said? She said because the Catholic Church didn't allow divorce. And as a lovely parting gift, my friend was dead by 32 - her liver gave out from all of the alcohol she consumed trying to ignore her demons.

Ok, I just have to say--and this is not in reference to you, dog, but just to churches, and religion in general--The first people that came to mind were the FUCKING DUGGARS saying "We don't judge anybody who chooses not to dress modestly!" because of course they are judging the fuck out of all of our defrauding asses., this statement right here is one example of why I will have fuck all to do with religion:
"he is the first to say that because God directs us to love everyone, any gay person who comes through our doors is to be treated like everyone else. We MAY NOT pick and choose and we MAY NOT hate on someone for being gay, biracial, Muslim, or any other reason."
This is their version of loving and accepting me. It should go without saying that I should be treated like everybody else because you know what, fuckers, I AM just like everybody else! Dumbasses. And I don't care what they say, it is not unconditional. It is a huge log of shit that they crapped out, and it's wrapped up in nothing but conditions.
(Again, I am not talking about you personally, dog.)
Also, HI ESE!! You are right, religion on the D never ends well.
Ok. Sorry guys. I just had a moment there and I had to rant.
Catholic boarding schools were all kinds of awful for Native Americans back in the day. I mean, it was really really bad and relatively recent too, like in to the 60s and 70s even. My grandfather went to one back in the day.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/tim-giago/the-dark-legacy-of-the-in_b_44720.html
I understand how this Jicarilla Apache man felt because when I speak about the time my eight year old sister, along with dozens of Lakota girls the same age, was raped at the mission school by a pedophile, I often get choked up, but I continue because I want people to know the horrible damage done to Indian children by the boarding schools over the more than 100 years they existed. I want people to know how we were beaten with leather straps, shorn of our hair, and used as child slave-laborers at these boarding schools.
Thousands of former boarding school students, now in their old age, experienced and witnessed the many abuses. The terrible impact of those days still haunt them and that is why I am glad that I have been able get many of them to unbind their years of suppression. When they start to speak, hesitantly at first, they soon get into the emotions of it and it seems that the floodgates are opened for the first time in many years, and the words and tears flow easily.
To be fair though, it wasn't just Catholics, other Christian denominations participated too and it was encouraged by the US government, but the Catholics were the ones that did the most damage. Anyway, I just wanted to bring that up in light of the Catholic Church versus Church of Scientology discussion that's going on. Also, the Catholic Church does a lot of good helping immigrants in the US, whereas there are basically no redeeming qualities about the Church of Scientology. I think the Amish are probably the worst to denomination/ cult to be a member of. I mean, it would REALLY suck to be Amish. The Evangelicals are the worst for society and that movie Jesus Camp is all sorts of fucked up. Also, that Sarah Palin shit where they speak in tongues and handle snakes seems pretty cray cray too. The Mormons are just as bad as COS in regards to their mythology, which also involves science fiction elements as well. The best religion/cult is the Buddhist religion.

My Mom used to tell me that was part of the reason she never divorced my Dad. She would have been excommunicated from the church, and she was deeply religious.
Also, Brown-eyed girl, religion aside, there is only one midwest state that recognizes gay marriage legally at this point. So, unless they were married in that state or are part of an Indian tribe, their marriage is not valid in the eyes of the government. Hopefully that all changes soon, but that is a different story for a different day.
Evil...then it must vary. I was baptized, received communion, and confirmation in the Catholic church. I was considered a practicing Roman Catholic in New Jersey my entire life, and was given dirty looks when I didn't contribute to the basket, even as a child. I attended Catholic school and was once hit on the ass by a nun in front of the entire cafeteria for getting up to throw my trash away while she spoke. When my Mom went to the school to challenge why she did this, Sister Kidabuser told my Mother they could do whatever they wanted because they were a private entity, and if my Mother didn't like it, she could take her money elsewhere. And that's exactly what she did.
My autistic nephew attended Catholic high school for three years and was relentlessly teased by some classmates AND a teacher at the school about his disability. When my brother took it to the higher ups and told them what was going on, they told him there was nothing they could do. My brother was even a member of their board, and they did NOTHING. It got so bad, that my nephew had to switch schools in his senior year. Thank goodness he finally found a place where others treated him like a human being and he had a great year. And it was a public school. He just completed his first year of college with a 4.0. And it's a public college. Regular people treated him better than Christians. Go figure.
I always considered myself a pretty decent person, and still do. But their idea of a good person and my idea of a good person were very different, so I left. They are not what they present themselves to be. They have just managed to brainwash enough sheeple into believing it. JUST like Scientologists.

I'm a heretic. Feel free to drive me from your midst.
My whole family was raised Catholic, and my mother has become the biggest hater of organized religion in recent years. My grandmother, at 78, was disgusted with certain aspects of the church. I might add that NO religion is above being money hungry or hypocritical. I believe in certain teachings of the church, BUT I have done plenty of things that go against the teachings of the church. Does that make me a rotten person? NO. Does God hate me? NO, (even though sometimes he should). Do I fear the church caving in on me on the occasion I do go? NO! I do find solace and comfort in my Catholicism, but it is MY brand of Catholicism. Do I believe in gay marriage? Yes. Do I picket abortion clinics? FUCK NO! Do I give a fuck about divorce? Nope, and most of the people in my family have a divorce or two under their belts, but you know what, we all (some of us less than others) still proudly walk through the doors on a Saturday evening or Sunday, and are treated well by everyone. We are still Catholic.
On a side note, I went to an Easter Church service once with some friends, and the pastor, minister or Satan, as I thought of him, said that the Jews deserved the Holocaust because they went against Jesus. He also said Catholics needed the same. He also went on to say people who have made mistakes, like an affair or terminating a pregnancy, would be in HELL and God and Jesus don't forgive sinners! WTF you dumb son of a bitch! I walked out in the middle of the service and the collective gasp at my leaving was so loud, I thought a storm had come up outside.

You guys have heard this but my friend was married in a Roman Catholic church by a priest. She had been married before and left her husband and lost track of him and never bothered to get a divorce. At the time of her marriage, her illegitimate son was about 2 and I don't know if they had actually tracked down the first husband and if she had even gotten a divorce or what. I didn't ask.
Her parents are loaded and wanted her to be married properly and not have a 'bastard' grandchild. I am positive they made a huge donation to make that wedding happen.
