By now, I'm sure all of you have already ground all your teeth up and punched your laptop screen while watching the videos of Karen Huff Klein, a 68-year-old bus monitor for the Greece Central School District in Rochester, NY, getting verbally attacked by a group of demon middle schoolers from the dirty anus lips of HELL. If you haven't seen any of the videos and can stomach watching corroded asshole children call a grandma a "fat, ugly, poor troll" and threaten to piss on her doorstep, then watch this shit below. Even Lucifer was like "too far, too far" when Karen started crying and a brat said she was just crying for Twinkies.
When I first watched this at Towleroad yesterday morning, I wanted to go back in time, morph into Karen and beat all of those demons with their own shoes. Then I'd tell the driver to drive to each of those kids' houses so I could beat their parents with their shoes.
From what I've read on HuffPo, the clip first showed up on Reddit about a day ago and within hours Redditors identified the specific school and sent emails to the district. Reddit (or maybe 4 Chan) also identified Karen and sent supportive notes to her Facebook page. By the afternoon, it already went massively viral and the school district held a press conference where they said they would punish all students involved. The Greece Police Department opened up their own investigation and questioned several of the students.
Karen gave an interview to Democrat and Chronicle yesterday and she told them that since she's hearing impaired, she didn't hear a lot of the shit nuggets of hate that flew out of those kids' mouths as they said it. But she heard it all when she watched the clips. Karen said that the hardest thing to hear was one kid saying that her children should kill themselves, because her son took his life 10 years ago. On Today this morning, Karen says she hopes the students are punished and so far none of them have apologized to her. Karen has worked for the district for over 20 years and has been a bus monitor for 3. Karen plans to continue to work in the school system, because she says not all kids are evil.
A fundraiser was set up to give Karen a dream vacation or help with retirement. When I checked yesterday afternoon, it was at $30,000 and when I checked again last night, it was at around $80,000. It's at $140,000 as of right now. The man who set up the page is currently trying to pass control over to Karen. Matt Lauer told Karen about the fundraiser and she says all the warm support from the Internet has been awesome.
In conclusion: Middle school kids are THE WORST. All those brats should be sent to abuelita summer camp where the power of the chancla will teach them to respect their elders.

Probably too late in the year, no? The kids already had their yearbooks, so suspending them would just be giving them a longer summer holiday.
Seriously though, some have already made some good points about the kids and the lady. There was once an invisible line that kids didn't cross . . . verbally/physically attacking the elderly. Don't know if it's a sign of me getting old or what, but the idea of respect for (or at least hands-off regarding) elders is lost on Western society.
I still think throwing money at her isn't solving anything (apart from some of her debt, maybe) though.

One of the best things I've ever seen a parent do was in my hometown back when I was in high school. The kid stole a bike from a bike shop and after he was caught and went through the detention center he was in for a few weeks his dad put him on a corner of the busiest intersection in town and made him wear a sandwich billboard that explained what he had done. He had to stay out there all weekend. SHAMING - I love it.
I know the guy now and he's actually a real stand-up citizen.
Even if she doesn't want to pursue anything....FUCK THAT.
Suspend and expel every lil rotten shitbag. She's probably wanting to finish out her career and retire and opening up a whole court fiasco at her age and the years that would follow would just prolong this hellfest.
School is responsible for pursuing charges against their employee being abused at the workplace. Rotten fucks should be banned from bus the rest of their educations as well so that can put it right back on parents who will have to cart their demon spawn's ass to a new school after they get expelled.

When I was at boarding school, we had a security guard that would walk around campus and make sure the girls weren't sneaking out to smoke or letting boys in the dorm, or what have you. I forget what even happened, but she told someone they couldn't do something. A whole group of girls got all riled up and were yelling at her and chased her around campus and she barricaded herself, LITERALLY put furniture up against the door, in the common room. It happened in my dorm and the girls were all excited and yelling things like "Let's GET her! Break the door down! Let's get IN there!" It was frightening. She quit that night. But these were normally nice, friendly girls who got all worked up and did and said stuff that I'd never picture any of them doing. Mass hysteria, mob mentality, whatever it is, it's sary.

I was driving my Chevy Suburban to school at that age so I'm not too familiar with busing.
i couldn't watch this shit, and old people have always been bullied, it's just now there's a video for it, even when i was a after school assistant in high school, those boys were brutal, but it made my skin thicker (they were 5-10 years old smh)
kids hear shit at home, and feel like they have freedom to do it elsewhere, i would suspend those kids and have them repeat the grade they're in

1. product of a 1 parent household
2. loads of unsupervised time at home
3. parent working so others "raising" them
4. parent emotionally abusive to kids
5. loads of exposure to desensitizing

Could not watch the video, as it would make me stabby. I agree TexnDoc that the school bus monitor needs to be someone who isn't as timid (and apparently hearing impaired) as this poor soul.

I refuse to watch this. Being cruel to children, animals and/or the elderly deserves expulsion from the planet, IMHO. I went to middle school too and kids might have picked on each other but we didn't act like heathens.
