Before Mickey Mouse Club and long before he made womankind flip their nipples off by dating THAT BITCH (government name: Eva Mendes), Ryan Gosling sang out "When A Man Loves A Woman" and busted out some sweet awesome moves to C+C Music Factory at a Mormon talent show in 1991. This gem is hilarious from the matching neck-to-ankle silk outfits to Ryan doing the Roger Rabbit to Ryan play fighting for the spotlight with his sister Mandi to the New Kids moves to the L.A. Looks gel in his hair (I'm guessing). Bottle this up and label that bottle: the epitome of 90s dorkiness.
I know what you're thinking and yes, it's totally weird that you want to convert this to VHS, play it for your friends at parties and tell them that your future husband has always had sweet moves and you really hope your future children inherit their father's jazz hands. Totally weird.

Ugh, used to do these all the time as a Mormon kid. They're called Roadshows and they make a couple hundred pounds of spaghetti and all the families bring their own plates, cups and utensils. Free entertainment. Always really cheesy. I remember this one where I had to dress like Raggedy Ann and get wound up by a Gepetto character and I moved around all robotic. Then when he'd leave the stage we'd do the jitterbug and dance crazily. Then when he came back we'd dance like robots again. Sigh.
They're really big on preforming. That's why you have all those Mormon ballroom dancers on Dancing With The Stars. When the whole "Mormons aren't allowed to dance" myth got started, I don't know. Oh yeah, Brandon Flowers was in my ward.

I kind of like him cause he seems like such a nice guy who loves to act and takes it seriously. Other actors really seem to like him too. He has shown such great work in mostly indie films. I loved Lars and the Real Girl. He is definitely a dork on the inside (wasn't he taken out of school or something due to bullying?) and I have always thought he was on the outside as well to a degree (that's why I don't get the panty slinging) and it very much seems like he does not get what all of the fuss is over too.
Plus, lame Justin Timberlake is totally jealous of his success and that's awesome.
I think the deal with Ryan is a case of mistaken identity - people watch The Notebook and think that he is the character he played.
Also, I miss the 90s when guys could actually dance their asses off. Nobody dances like this anymore. I say bring back the roger rabbit, the running man, the butterfly, fuck I even want to see me some electric slides.
