im too late for the OP topic malarky but i'm weighing anyway so deal with it. i've been here for 5 fucking years and i've seen a lot happen in that time. i used to think the comments here were fucked. it seemed like a core group of people, ignoring others and only talking amongst themselves. sometimes it even seemed like a kiss ass party - a few people being kissed, the rest doing the kissing. then i started paying attention to what was actually going on, and it was people that were forming real friendships with each other. and they did respond to those that were having fucked up issues going on. i dont give a fuck if they meant all their kind words or not - sometimes, you just need the kind words to hang on to. so fuck anyone that doesn't like OP. go to the regular posts and keep OP a fabulous place for all the regular slores to hang out. thanks for reading.

EC, I know we just formally squashed old hard frosting recently, but I truly and sincerely hope you feel better soon. It's not easy when things turn grey and once thick skin becomes more tender, for whatever the reason that caused it. Do what you have to do to feel better. I know being out of school for the summer is already effecting me. As much as I needed a rest, the constant interaction with people kept me okay some how, it was hard at times, because dealing with what I have, especially stress, it REALLLLY effects me emotionally, mentally and just overall, but when I'm not forced to interact I have a tendency to close myself off and get into a really depressing black hole, and my Complusions become really bad and I get majorly depressed. Maybe that's not what you're dealing with particularly, but I just wanted you to know, I hope whatever grey skies you're battling break away soon. :]

No offense to any of the DListers....but I can't believe the comments section seems to double as some kind of pseudo one-dimensional therapy session. How can total strangers really understand anything in your life? It's one of the pitfalls of Internet communication - people say what they think others want to hear but the truth is these typed words ultimately mean nothing coming from complete strangers. There's no substitute for genuine human connection.

Sometimes when you're going through crap, it's nice to be reminded that you aren't the only one who has experienced it, especially if no one in your family has been through it, so they can't be unbiased.

Since I can't sleep.
I am not leaving for good, but I think I do need to take a dlisted break for a bit.
I am NOT mad at Dog at all. When I was down last week, she was one of the first to offer kind words.
I guess I am just not up to others and their criticisms right now, and I was only trying to help someone today, that was feeling low, like I was. I wasn't trying to be a know-it-all, or act like I "knew" them personally. I was just trying to make someone feel better, since lately I feel like total and absolute shit every day, and NOTHING makes me feel better at this point.
I will be back, but right now, for me and my hypersensitivity issues, I am taking a step back from the web, dlisted and things that are distracting me from dealing with real life issues.
Be nice to each other, and know that no one ran me off, I just need to deal with life and concentrate on feeling better. then I will hopefully have less to say about my personal crap and more to say about hideous celebrities.
