If Elmo's sucio ass didn't pay for that bus time handy from OctoMom then he better FedEx her a cashiers check ASAP, because ho needs money now more than ever. I don't know how they did it, but TMZ somehow got a hold of (cut to OctoGranny with an oh-so-guilty "It wuzzint me!" look on her face) a picture of an EBT card with OctoMom's government name on it.
TMZ points out that Octo swore on her fame-making uterus in the past that she'd never open her hands to government assistance, but with 14 hungry eating holes to fill and her offers drying up faster than her relevancy, she had to raise the Help A Bitch Out flag. Octo makes less than $119,000 a year and has 15 mouths to feed, so she qualifies for a $2000 monthly food only allowance from the State of California. TMZ source's say that Octo is also trying to cut her monthly expenses by pulling all but one child (who is autistic) from private school.
A bitch can argue that Octo did this to herself, but those 10 thousand million chirruns didn't do this to themselves and they gotta eat. Damn. If crazy was a protein, they could nibble on the crazy their mom gives off, but it ain't. I'm assuming Octo has some kind of other income falling into her wallet, because I don't know how $2,000 can feed a family of 15 for a whole month. That's like one shopping trip to Whole Foods. Those kids are gonna have to go on the college diet (Top Ramen, popcorn and Boone's Farm).
Octo needs to enroll in reality show boot camp. Bitch needs to spend time with the Extreme Couponers to learn how to buy $1,000 worth of groceries for six pennies. Then she needs to spend time with the Duggars to learn how to make laundry soap out of baby saliva. And finally, she needs to spend a lot time with Ma from Ma's Roadhouse, but only because I want to see Ma smack Octo with some nicotine-stained truth.
And I officially HATE myself for playing this song in my head as soon as I read about Octo's welfare woes:

In places like Europe, (and many other countries) food takes up at least 30% of the budget. In america it's less than 10. Food is cheap here. I don't know what our deal is.

Friend of mine lost her job. In order to get 200 bucks a month in food-stamps for herself and her teenage soon she had to go the workforce office 25miles away three times a week. Food stamps aren't cash. The little pussy dumplings have to eat and it's not their fault that their mother is a stupid cunt, as MK pointed out.
EBT cards can dispense cash at ATM's if the cardholders are approved for cash benefits. I don't know if Octo is approved for cash, but if it's just for food stamps for her kids, I don't have that much of a problem with it.
Fun fact: My favorite marijuana dispensary has an ATM that accepts EBT cards. So does the casino a few miles away from my house. I remember in the 90's when some woman wanted help with her medically disabled child. Went to medicare/welfare and there wasn't anyone there to speak english with her. She sued and tried to get that shit stopped, but they turned her down.
All I can say is that when I needed help, I had to sleep in my car until I worked through it. When I got laid off from my job, I couldn't get help at the local clinic because I was not hispanic. Now I make money and remember how people treated me. I don't plan on helping anyone ever because I know when I need it, there won't be ANYONE there giving me anything.

I thought EBT was different than welfare. Isn't welfare cash assistance? On EBT you can only buy food. There must be at least 1 in 5 on EBT here in California right now, its ridiculous. Not everyone on welfare is scamming. Some people truly need the assistance. I don't know how other states are but here in CT, the state makes it very tough to get off welfare once on. Unless you find a well-paying full time job, which is very difficult for them, the state takes the difference in pay of a lesser job. In some cases it kicks you completely off welfare for having even a part time job. And you lose your housing because welfare-paid housing doesn't take people who work.
Then there are people like this. There was a woman down in New Haven who was fighting to keep her 4 bedroom apartment that my tax dollars pay for her to live in. Four of her six kids had grown up and moved out so the state wanted to move her to a 2 bedroom. And she fought it. She also had doctors writing letters to the utility companies, INCLUDING CABLE, to keep them on. Cable? Really? That's a service you need to survive? I saw her on the news. Big, fat mama who could easily have worked and she fucking admitted she didn't want a job.

Mostly I was just really, really pissed off at the time because I felt like I had done everything "right" and it had got me nowhere.
The job I had was at our college book store, so as soon as the rumor got around that I was pregnant they just let me go because in a few months I would not be able to lift/stock heavy books, instead of putting me on as cashier or floor duty. (This was the same week that they hired the manager's pregnant girlfriend as a cashier.)
It was pretty devastating, but I am lucky that Mr. Spragger got a job with excellent medical benefits.
