While American Idol's season 2 winner Ruben Studdard sang the National Anthem at the Puppy Bowl (he wishes), American Idol's first winner Kelly Clarkson let the musical notes fly out of her mouth as she sang the National Anthem at the 47th annual Spandex Bulges in Motion Ceremony today. Besides Kelly Clarkson's Rachel Berry hair, I don't have a bad thing to say about this and I should pinch my tongue until I taste blood, because I always have something bad to say. Ron Paul's main homegirl didn't screw up the words (side-eye pointed toward Xtina) and my ear holes didn't try to shut, so I'll say the bitch did okay.
The best part besides the players looking like they were about to shit through their pee holes due to the excitement from being around all those Spandex bulges was the terrified look on those kids in the choir. I love a good "If I fuck this up, I'm going to get shanked in the face by an adult" look on a kid. That's America!

Wow! I was disappointed in MK's review at first bc I usually can't stand this girl or her voice but this was amazing!! I got the chills - one of the best performances of the song I believe - not too over the top and showy - she just sang it so smoothly and beautifully ....

We attend therapy three times a week - one on one's for each of us and then he does a social group with kids his age that are aspys and autistic and other I guess disorders, and they play games and learn how to interact with each other. Thing is though, he feels equal there, whereas at school, he knows he's different. And I feel for him so much.

I have also grown to hate the word. My ten year old is gifted but has some characteristics of autism (sensory overload) so although I do not fully understand, I sort of do.
I take my son to the Key Training Center in Crystal River here, it's a thrift store to sell items to help handicapped people. A guy named John is mentally and severly physically handicapped but sits in a wheelchair handing out flyers. He can barely talk too. My son adores John.
Friday at school, a girl in my son's class yelled at him for accidentally bumping her, she called him a "fucking retard" and knocked him to the ground (he didn't touch her back), this is fifth grade mind you. She had zero punishment.
He asked me why she would make fun of someone nice and kind.

Yes, thanks ebil. A long time ago, when I used the r-word, I never really stopped to think about to whom I was referring. Now that I have met many people with disabilities such as CP, Down Syndrome, severe autism etc., I find that word disgusting and de-humanizing. (Not to mention I have a child on the autism spectrum.)
