She is too young for point work but do not worry - the shoes are a prop. She is posing a la Stevie Nicks on the chair and the shot where she is standing (badly) on them is blurred. With that alignment she won't be going far on her tippy toes. The discipline and hard work necessary to make it as a ballet dancer would be out of the range of show biz spawn. Shit, these folks can't even finish high school let alone study at college.

I agree with you. I don't want to make fun of this kid cause she doesn't know any better except what she has been thought by her money grubbing parents. But I don't believe she is a prima ballerina. I see this as a fun photog, show off day. Unfortunately, this kind of behavior may turn her into a narcissist adult with no real skills. But becuase she was raised in such a world where it is ok to front that you have certain skills. Like Natalie Portman who did NOT dance the way she was portrayed in Blackswan but of course her handlers and people will do anything to keep her image as if she was the ultimate dancer and was able to learn what really takes YEARS to perfect. I have no comments on how her hair looks, but I will say this: Any Black girl in America who at the age of 11 has the confidence to cut all of her hair off gets a BIG THUMBS UP from me. You cannot begin to imagine the cultural/social pressure attached to hair for Black women. When I cut all of my hair off, and I was 30 at the time, my Mother literally took to her bed for TWO DAYS!
