Graffiti totally counts as fine art, so don't even go there. MK sent me a link from Socialite Life to this pic Khloe Kardashian posted on her website, looking pretty and skinny and BLOND several Christmases ago. (Note: my computer choked on the words "Khloe" and "pretty" in the same sentence and I had to re-start the bitch three times.) This was apparently before the whole "dye my hair to look like my sisters so no one will know my mom was a complete ho and fucked around on the guy I thought was my dad" phase.
I have to say, she looks good as a blond...computer, NO!! Choke it down, bitch. She's actually the only one of those hos that I have any respect for (hang in there hard drive) since she doesn't take herself too seriously and seems kind of human. For the record I don't know anyone in a home.
Good luck never knowing one. They bleed families dry of life savings with their measures that allow the terminally ill live "just enough longer" so they can collect their blood money.
Not that i think that alt actually holds that job, but if it does, then it's probably some immigrant from a bombed out shithole that spends 1 hour a day actually working and 7 hours watching tv and doing the internet.
At least that is my experience with 2 grandparents on their way out that had to go through this process.
I don't know about you Stoney but I'm just wondering where there is a long term care facility that would allow me to drop off my 'so mean even a snake wouldn't bite her' relative without any information, only to know that she would be taken care of for at least 10 years.
It's easy to judge the family when you have no fucking clue what is going on. Maybe some of those people have no fucking family left or they live far away or they are out of work or the woman who was dropped was universally hated for justified reasons. For the record I don't know anyone in a home.

A lol (in our business that is little old lady") is dropped at the ER, by no one knows, all they leave is her Medicare card. Yes, there are often times that people are brought in because they "just can't handle Mom (or whomever) anymore", whether it's physically or financially, or whatever it may be. Lol is not sick, so Medicare won't pay to keep her in the hospital (although they do sometimes find ways to eek around this if lol needs some PT/OT, etc and will be able to hold them in their subacute care area for a very short time 4 days usually being the max). So lol (dropped off w/ nothing/no one) is not sick, needs to rehab care. So, Social Services comes in and starts looking for LTC, Residential or Assisted Living (whichever applies according the physical and mental evaluation they have to do) that have openings. THAT is how someone goes from the ER to LTC.
I have NO problems when someone says, "I just can't do this anymore". Whether it;s physical/financial/emotional limitations. That is sooo understood. Taking care of an elderly loved one is EXTREMELY hard. Especially if that loved one is incontinent, has dementia/Alzheimer's /Parkinsons, etc it's hard on everyone in that household. If they begin to look for a LTC facility, I commend them for knowing their limitations and doing something that's for the greater good for them AND their loved one.
Families that must deal with physically/emotionally/verbally abusive loved ones have it even harder than a lot because they not only have these issues to deal with, they also could have the others as well heaped on top of that. I know what families have to go through and I never said anything really negative about the families, except the ones who just drop Grandma off and roll. That to me is bullshit....that's my opinion and I'm allowed to have it. You guys have your opinions, and you're allowed to that as well.

And I am most CERTAINLY a US citizen, and veteran of the U.S. Navy. And no I don't work 1 out of 8 hrs and piss off during the others, playing at Dlisted on the internet.
I work 12 hour shifts and I RUN from the minute I hit the floor until time to leave (which truthfully is most often MORE than 12 hrs). The ONLY time I may sit down is when j am charting, and there are many times I end up doing that while standing. That's usually because the nurses station is full.

Just read the last comment on nursing home shit. My friend works graveyard shift in one. She hates all of humanity now, and after being punched, bitten, and turning over 500 lb people who refuse to move, I can see why.
