Jay-Z's Got 99 Problems But An OWS Protester Ain't One
With a golden child of infinite light who only eats canary diamonds and only wears baby wigs fronted with lace imported from France on the way, Jay-Z has to hustle harder for that money since the billions of dollars he has in the bank surely isn't enough. Jay-Z's lips are extra chapped today, because of all the heat his ass is getting for selling Occupy Wall Street t-shirts through Rocawear and donating a grand total of ZERO dollars to the movement. The Occupy Wallet Movement: That's how the 1% stays in the 1%!
The Wall Street Journal says that after many complained that Jay-Z is filling his pockets with money from a movement he didn't help to create, the t-shirts were pulled off of Rocawear's website. Before pulling the t-shirts, Rocawear confirmed to Gawker that they ain't giving shit to those OWS bitches:
The 'Occupy All Streets' T shirt was created in support of the 'Occupy Wall Street' movement. Rocawear strongly encourages all forms of constructive expression, whether it be artistic, political or social. 'Occupy All Streets' is our way of reminding people that there is change to be made everywhere, not just on Wall Street. The most surprising thing about this is that Rocawear still exists (and yet Cross Colors only exists in Europe today, shame). The second most surprising thing about this is that Pimp Mama Kris didn't come up with it first. That sound you hear of a wet steak slowly sliding off of a wall is Pimp Mama Kris's new face falling off after she punched herself in the head over not coming up with this shit before Jay-Z.

For me, OWS is about ending the endless amount of redtape and loop holes in our current legislation that allow the rich to get richer while the poor get poorer. I'm sure some of you saw an article early this year about how GM or some multibillion dollar company didn't pay anything in taxes tis year, in fact, the federal government owed THEM money. Now I don't know about anybody else, but this is WRONG and before OWS, there was nothing or no one even approaching a plan to resolve a situation like this. Recently, a company was awarded 80 million in tax breaks to create 5 jobs, no mandate on the salary of these jobs. This nation is on a slippery slope downward and I think OWS is one of the last chances we have to stop this decline...

It's the same here in the UK, and it's utterly ridiculous. Graduates have it even worse - because they've got the student debt and even worse job prospects than people with "working experience".

yeah , my kid is in college and has to deal with these assholes rocking the bus while she goes to class.
I'm not made at rich people for being rich.....I'm mad because it's almost impossible to make a living wage in this day and age.
Back in the 50s and 60s, a person could graduate high school, go get a 9-5 at their local factory or preferred industry and make enough money to buy a house and pay it off in 5 or 10 years, support his wife, save up enough to send his kids to college if they chose and have enough left over to live comfortable in retirement. College was just for egg-heads who went to college because they were egg-heads.
Nowadays, this scenario is an impossibility for most people. You can't live without incurring some form of incredible debt, be it from 50k in student loans or a 30 yr. mortgage, and college is mandatory if you even hope to have a chance at getting a living wage job. The 1% have manufactured a society were the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. The middle class is absolutely fundamental to a nation's position in the world and we are fast losing our powerhouse status while other nations rise up around us.

I'm with Team KFed ( never thought I would type that). I mean I thought I had grown more conservative since moving to Northern NV but some of you guys take the Kool Aid Kake. A few shitty protesters cause you to vilify an entire movement? They've hijacked the press quite effectively and that's a good start. Some people get furious and without much thought, without a plan, without concern of repercussion the Id takes over and Rages at the inequality. You've never felt the pressure cooker of a system designed to fuck you over? Then you are blind, stupid or The 1%. OT I again do not see a problem with the protests. It's about time it was brought to the governments attention (and I don't think for a second that it was for the commoners. Trust me, we KNOW how bad it is)

There was a story yesterday about someone with a sign in the park and was collecting money claiming that they had diabetes...about 200 dollars a day! Guess what...no diabetes and really most of the money went to buy cigarettes and booze.
I'm not saying that we shouldn't bring attention to the crisis that is the economy in the US or for that matter worldwide but "buyer beware".

I'm working my ass off to make it through my education with the best grades and the best attitude possible, all the while owing student loans that I'll be paying on for quite a while. I'm doing all of this because I am making it MY mission to, as a college instructor, hopefully make a difference in someone's life the way my professor did in mine. Because of her, I am inspired to do everything I can to hopefully impact someone else's life, so that they might become a better person and in turn, help someone else. And so that they might understand the world around them and have some awareness about what is happening. That's what I'm doing :)
Also, I am proud to be one of the have-nots. It made me who I am and who I will be.
