The Michigan Messenger was doing a story about Traverse City's homeless shelter and they interviewed 55-year-old Anthony who told them that his multimillionaire Kabbalah queen of a sister has circumcised him from her life forever!

Anthony was working at his dad's winery in Michigan a year ago, but he got fired for reasons unknown.
My soul skips a beat at the chance to throw balls of shit at Madge for being a money-hoarding, greedy evil cunt with silicone cheek implants that cost about as much as a trailer house for her homeless brother, but we don't know what's really going on here. Anthony was fired by his own dad. What kind of crazy fucked up do you have to be to get fired by the man who carried you in his nutsack once?

In my opinion, when one keeps on giving a "helping" hand to family members who obviously don't care about getting better, one turns into an ENABLER. Then it's likely that these shameless fuckups will think it's your responsibility and obligation to give them and it becomes a very despressing vicious cycle, just in the name of "protecting a loved family member, so one doesn't look bad".
Sadly, I see this every day in my own family. I'm usually kind to whoever needs help, but I'm not stupid. It sucks to be taken advantage of by people you love and want to help out, but sometimes as hard as it seems, one has to retract the hand, turn around and let them deal with their own issues. I have to keep this in mind quite often, so I rather give advise, even if they hate it, instead of becoming an enabler.

Clairey, that's true. I just sort of empathize with Madonna on this one, because my husband and I both have siblings from hell. It's an amazing dynamic. The "needy"/"bad" sibling never gets lectured about blood, family, etc when they're screwing us over. But it's the first thing we hear when they need something, though.

The only reason I would let a sib of mine (and I have two bros) eat on the streets was if they tried to kill me or just abused drugs and laid around, no matter who helped. Yes it wouldn't cost her anything relatively (ha!) speaking, but if she did that he'd expect her to do that continually, forevermore.
Plus she would be rewarding him for badmouthing her publicly, which would also invite more of the same behavior down the road. He would be, in effect, blackmailing her: "Give me [more] money or I'll go back to the media and complain again" - AND even if she gave him lots of $$, he could always claim that he gave her nothing, or gave her a small amount.

I'm certainly not a wine expert, but the Traverse City area does indeed have a number of excellent wineries. Traverse City is on the east coast of Lake Michigan, so its climate is sort of like that of California's central coast, albeit with cold, snowy winters. Actually, the produce from that area is almost always excellent.
I've actually had wine from the Ciccone's winery, and I did enjoy it...
I'm not a big fan of Madonna's. I think her fake British accent and oversized cheek implants are ridiculous. However, I'm not going to judge her for this because for all we know, she's given him money to live on in the past, and he's blown it on drugs, gambling, women, etc. I've seen it in my family, the relatives who live off others and borrow, borrow, borrow, and the second they've got a few dollars in their pocket, they disappear and come back when it's all blown (on gambling, drugs, women, etc) and they need help again.

If it's one thing I fucking hate about some of my own family members is that they are the worst kind of people you could meet: greedy, fraudulent, thieving, egotistical mother fuckers. They could literally stomp all over you if it meant getting something off you or take advantage, but when one of their brothers or sisters have a coin or two more than they do, they expect them to "share" or "help them out", 'cause you know, they don't have any money. There is a time, when ONE as an adult has to deal with the consequences of our actions.
Besides, who knows what he did to be fired from his father's company... but my bet is thievery, drugs, alcohol or all of the above. As someone wisely quoted a long time a go, "nobody will screw you over like a family member".. or something along those lines.

I can't judge here - no one can without knowing the whole story. Had a dear friend from a wealthy family who became a hopeless addict. After sending him to rehab several times and supporting him for years, well into his 40s, the family finally just stopped. At that point his siblings had their own families and just could not justify putting up with his addict crap. Unfortunately he should have been allowed to hit bottom years earlier, when he could have handled it. He ended up spiraling further and further into mental illness and addiction and health issues, and ended up dying at age 51.
I am sure if Madonna's own father fired him, he was not exactly a model citizen who is just going through a few rough times. At some point people decide they are going to be career whatevers - successes, fuckups, junkies, alkies, etc. I wish this guy well, but it doesn't look good if you are living under a bridge during the winter in a cold weather state.

I have a family member who we have cut off, not due to drugs but because it is not safe to have him around. It sounds terrible but there are legitimate reasons to break ties with family members, especially if they are hurting you.
Oh I hear ya Mama Bear. Things were so fucked up at our house for a while that if my mom or dad said a certain phrase, I was to call the cops immediately. It was like living under siege. No one can judge unless they've lived it.

Just because you're comfy financially doesn't mean you should be in the business of rescuing and supporting a relative. We don't know what's been done for him in the past and what his issues are. I have a junkie sister who still hasn't hit bottom and the only way she's ever getting help from me is to pay for rehab. You eventually have to stop with the enabling.
