Sherri "The German" Shepherd (copyright: Fresh) just got her wedding veil snatched off of her head (not really) by one of her partners in hen peckery! Joy Behar of The View always squawks about how marriage is about as important to her as not dressing like a pilgrim Benjamin Franklin is to Whoopi Goldberg, but she's changed her mind.
Joy married her partner of 29 years Steve Janowitz in New York City on Thursday night. Sadly, Joy's rep didn't confirm this shit by saying SO WHAT? WHO CARES? Joy's rep said she'll talk about it when The View comes back next month.
"She has married her spousal equivalent. She will discuss it all on The View on Sept 6, when The View kicks off Season 15 live."
And Sherri is supposed to bark out her wedding vows in Chicago today. Let's hope that Elisabeth Hasselcrack trumps both of those bitches by marrying her jaw together in wired bliss.

Bjorkie, don't go getting yourself upset with people you don't even know on the internet. Karen and you are both entitled to your opinion, but neither of you owe anyone a description of who you are, your personal details, your beliefs etc. If you're comfortable sharing them, fine, but if not, that's absolutely your right.
I've learned SO much from reading dlisted, and as crazy as it sounds the best stuff I've learned has helped my career because it involves conflict management. I used to be the person who charged into a situation, running my mouth and aggressively attacking anyone who disagreed with me. Since coming here I've learned these lessons, and I'll even attribute them to the dlisters who gave me the advice:
Centy - the rule of "DNE" - do not engage. It's not worth your time or effort to engage a troll or someone who has zero interest in hearing your side of an argument. Just ignore them
PSL - the rule of "agree to disagree and you can skip my posts and I'll skip yours". I love the way PSL handled her disagreements with Ziggy - she gave her side, her reasons etc without getting catty and personal, and ended it with the above you skip mine, I'll skip yours. Very diplomatic and classy as far as I'm concerned.
Sweetas - always finds the positive. If you can't the positive, no need to degrade yourself by lowering yourself to troll level, just make a light-hearted joke and move on.
You and Cappy - bring the logic, disregard the inflammatory. Dlisters are much more prone to listening to logic and are turned off by bickering. And if someone doesn't listen to logic, then DNE.
Angel - tries to diffuse situations which are heating up by injecting humor, music and logic. If someone disagrees with her (and some have been very ignorant to her), she seems to employ PSL's "agree to disagree" and moves on. What I also like is that she never holds a bad day against another dlister.
ESE - the ultimate sweetheart. He realizes that music tames the savage beast and always has the perfect musical balm to soothe over any situation.
Mickey H - that sweet cow has been around and always offers rational, heart-felt advice. I love that cow!
ETA ACOTW's "Now would be a good time to retreat" advice. I did that several weeks ago when I was about to go ballistic on an asshole at work and I'm sure, saved my reputation if not my job. I told him "Now is probably not a good time to discuss this, why don't we talk about it tomorrow when we have more information" because he was extremely agitated, and I left (even tho at the time I felt like I was being a coward). He has apologized to me several times since then and I've been told by my boss that I handled it very well. So thanks again ACOTW - I owe you a big one!
Don't let others piss you off on here. The majority of dlisters are people I would love to hang with, you know who they, so just stick with them. The others can go over to JJ and screw themselves!

Whatever their reasons for marrying after 29 years, it's not inheritance. You can leave your estate to whomever you want, married, divorced, unrelated, etc. Folks in her income class usually have trusts that avoid probate and avoid estate taxes. Congrats! I wouldn't have bothered after 29 years but whatever floats your boat.
I like Joy because she's the main one on The View who REALLY speaks up and doesn't go with the flow. Whoopi speaks up too but when she speaks I (mostly) cringe. She comes across as quite sexist and misogynistic. She tends to stick up for the villians (Polanski, Vicks and othet MEN) in society. Sometimes she sticks up for the RIGHT peeps but mostly she condemns the victims (victim of Polanski, the poor, mistreated dogs owned by Vicks, etc).
And don't get me started on Barbara. She is such a brown-noser and fence-sitter when it comes to celebs. You can tell she has a fucking heart of stone, just watch her trying to coo over a celebs baby, it is hilarious. And she looks so old and brittle, like she is going to shatter into pieces if anyone accidentally bumped into her.
This thread was looking very promising when I left yesterday, so like a kid anticipating Xmas morning I snuck out of bed early. Much to my surprise, a tsunami of hostilities has yet again washed over dlisted's beautiful shores, leaving an ocean full of wreckage. Why? Why do people who could just as easily make their point in a civilized and entertaining manner choose unprovoked full frontal attack? I, for one, am convinced that all negativity, however insignificant in appearance, will eventually contribute to the downfall of the human race. It strips us of our humanity and makes way for hatred and violence. Many members have said that dlisted is in one way or another a place of significance to them. Why not respect that?

She looks like a small town drag queen.
While I do agree with some of her political views, she is reluctant to give republicans any kind of credit or back up her assertions with research. Her world view is one of about 40 years ago and sooo politically correct. She, like too many in our country today, is unwilling to praise, listen to, and compromise with anyone in another party.
