Behold, The Worst Concert In The History Of Belgrade
If you've ever wanted to see a methadone clinic toddler do a Marilyn Monroe impersonation 2-seconds after she came out of a coma, then here you go.
Fresh off of her one-week stint in rehab, Amy Wino returned to the stage for her comeback concert in Belgrade last night and the audience left with an aftertaste of BOOs in their mouth and a sadness in their wallets. Almost 20,000 hos dropped $57 to see the triumphant return of Wino and what they got was a show that they can see for free on the 34th Street subway platform from a homeless crackhead wearing a dress made out of Hefty bags while trying to sing a Billie Holiday song in the style of Gilbert Gottfried. You just want to drop a coin in her donation cup so you can hear the sound of quarters clinking instead of the sound of a hyena with laryngitis getting choked out. A mess.
Wino was over an hour late and when she finally showed up, she stumbled and mumbled her way through that mess. The audience had to act as Wino's verbal teleprompter by feeding her the lines to her own damn songs. Crack has never been accused of helping a bitch's memory, that's for sure.
When Wino wasn't dropping her mic and slurring her lyrics, she was wiping at her nose and running backstage, leaving the band to entertain the crowd. Wino still has 11 more dates to get through on her European tour. But if Wino's money greed whore of a team know what's good, they will cancel everything and send her ass to a year-long SCARED STRAIGHT program for crackheads, because damn. I've seen live car crashes that are less painful to watch than this. This is like a lost segment from Faces of Death.
UPDATE: Two of Wino's future dates have been put in the pipe and smoked up! Wino's show in Istanbul on Monday and her show in Athens on Wednesday have both been canceled! Wino's rep says that she knows she can't "perform to the best of her ability" right now.

Wow. I'm sure she'll be dead soon. I'm also quite sure that if Britney Spears were to see this she would feel nothing but accomplished when recalling her Good Morning America concert and Jimmy Kimmel performances.
This bitch is just fucking pathetic. I don't think there is any coming back from this, not that she seems to care. If she doesn't die in the next 3 years, it won't even be a headline when she does. It'll be a little blip in the corner of the Entertainment section. You might gaze over it before letting out a hmm, and continue flipping the page.

Agreed about the Dap Kings. I will say that back when they *probably* enjoyed playing with her, they were much more into the show. I saw her at Coachella right after Back to Black came out - the Dap Kings were WERQING it, looking hawt as hell in white linen trou and white tanks, busting out great moves on stage, laughing and joking with Amy. Such a great show, and most likely the only time I'll see her unless whatever bottom she hits isn't so low that she can't recover from it. Now they've toned back their enthusiasm for obvious reasons, but still perform like consummate pros in the face of this melting down wreck in front of them. She looked really shocked when "Just Friends" ended - I'm sure the band were all very eager to end her verbal fuckery.

About the band (Dap Kings), they are not friends with Amy and they actually play with other vocal artists as well, mainly Sharon Jones. They get booked for shows and my guess is that they show up not knowing what state she'll be in and they have no control over it. For them to get upset or refuse to play would be unprofessional on their part. In an interview, they were basically saying that playing with Amy is not even a fun gig for them because she barely tries. However, if they are bound by a contract or agreement, they have to do their part and show up. The smiling, IMO, was not to enable her but to try to coax her into holding up her part of the agreement. If I show up drunk to work, it's not my co-workers fault for still trying to do their job. *end rant*

Ok, I felt like I kind of went off there. :) The Dap Kings seem really cool so I hate to see them get sucked down with Amy.
