Rufus Wainwright Is A Dad
Just as we come up for air, another wave of BABIES!!! hits is directly in the face. Down we go… Singer Rufus Wainwright, his partner Jorn Weisbrodt and their friend Lorca Cohen (daughter of Leonard) have announced that they are all parents to a brand new bundle of girl baby. This is just like Three Men and a Baby, except it’s Two Men, a Lady and a Baby! That’s definitely the way to go. It takes two to bring her down to shush levels when she screeches like Xtina in heat in the middle of the night, and it takes one to sleep for all of them. It works for me. Darling daughter Viva Katherine Wainwright Cohen was born on February 2, 2011 in Los Angeles, California to proud parents Lorca Cohen, Rufus Wainwright and Deputy Dad Jorn Weisbrodt. The little angel is evidently healthy, presumably happy and certainly very very beautiful.
Daddy #1 would like to offer everyone a digital cigar and welcome the little lady in with a French phrase from his favorite folk song, A La Claire Fontaine : “Il y a longtemps que je t’aime, jamais je ne t’oublierai.”
My abuelita will be pleased to learn that they named their daughter after her favorite paper towels from The Dollar Tree.
