When the new iPad was announced yesterday, everyone was saying how it made them think of a maxi pad. And since my thoughts are always dressed in neon surfer pants and Camp Beverly Hills t-shirts, all that maxi pad talk made me think of MAXIE the cartoon and doll. That is how my brain works. Blame it on all the sugar I eat.

Maxie’s World was a cartoon and doll collection that came out in the late 80s. It was a broke down, knocked up Dollar Tree version of JEM!. If JEM! is Andre, then Maxie is a used Del Taco cup filled with lukewarm Cisco. But since I’m an easy mark for cartoon blondes, musical montages and frosted pink lipstick, I snorted up every second of this mess.
