Something Smells Fishy

The Earth Pledge Group have been asking several designers to work with "sea leather" instead of cow leather. Sea leather is made from the skins of dead fishes. So…basically it's like the skin of Jenna Jameson?

Stacey Bendet from Alice + Olivia told Page Six she was into working with it, but quickly nixed the idea. She said, "I agreed to do this 'green outfit. I figured sea leather was fake, but they are real dead fish skins . . . They smell. Gross!"

The Earth Pledge Group said it doesn't smell fishy, "It happens to be very beautiful. Fish skin would otherwise be garbage. We are turning landfill material into something beautiful and useful."

HELL NO! Imagine what the subway would smell like on a hot, summer's day? Thanks to a few dirty skanks it already smells like a dirty tampon landfill! Nothing ruins your morning (or coffee) like a whiff of that mess. No lox and cheese for me in the morning!

Unless you're a cat lover, don't wear that mess. You'll have every stray cat in the neighborhood coming at you with hungry eyes!
