Look Both Ways

Director John Singleton was involved in a fatal accident on Thursday night in Los Angeles. John's SUV hit a 57-year-old woman as she crossed the street. The woman was not in a crosswalk. She died in the hospital on Friday. John was not under the influence of any substance and he was not speeding. A police rep said it doesn't seem likely that any charges will be brought against John.

John is the director of "Boyz N The Hood" and "Baby Boy."

That just goes to show you, you never know. I live in NYC, so I'm always crossing the street whenever I feel like it which is a busted move. When I was younger I got hit by a car while crossing the street on my bike and I wasn't in a crosswalk. I didn't get that banged up, but I felt bad because the people that hit me were going to a wedding. They were jumping out of the car in the ugliest dresses and I remember lying there thinking "damn, those dresses are busted."

Anyway, condolences to all!
